The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) wants to get its grasping hands around the throat of the Internet, the international town hall where Americans have been free to express their opinions without Big Brothers permission or interference.
That makes the FCC unhappy. It seems that this taxpayer-supported, intrusive federal agency simply cant bring itself to allow anything having to do with Americans communicating with each other in public without their lordly oversight or permission.

Tell the FCC that they will get money for the agency when the three commissioners that did this reverse themselves and resign.
And happy new year to you Michael Reagan and to all you freepers.
Where are the usefull idiots on this forum who support the communist FCC and this Soros funded net neutrality, probably getting their tin foil hats adjusted?
So what is Michael Reagan up to these past few years.
I used to love to listen to him on Radio 3-4 years ago.
I saw Ronnie Junior’s doll has too.
The only thing the FCC should do is say that a connection can’t be called an “internet connection” unless it just an open pipe, nothing but bandwidth and no port throttling, packet shaping, quality of service “enhancements”, etc.
Anything else, call it what they want but it’s not an “internet connection”.

I still don’t see what all the drama is about. It looks like the usual paranoid overreaching to try to protecct corporate interest. Certainly Time warner and comcast don’t have my best interest at heart. The record companies? The movie industry?
Get a clue.
Get a clue, read the rules!
But the FCC does?
What you said....sometimes it’s better not to speak (or type) and remove all doubt. Happy New Year!
So you want the government telling private companies how to run their businesses? You sound like an anti-capitalist liberal.
Sigh and you sound like the atypical knee jerk respondent that just parrots the same ole mindless crap around here without really thinkg about how both systems are neccesary in order to keep balance.
I could say that you were a mercenary-capitalist-hell bent on anarchy. But that would sound a stupid as your post...
Uhhh does the FCC stand to make billions of dollars off of this deal. Who has the bigger profit motivation to have corrupt actions.
Now think about it real hard, ok.
Those that are politically well connected can still do anything they want under the FCC Rules.
All they have to do is give money to the correct party.
Tempest has an aversion to reading.
He is afraid reading the FCC Rules would dispel his fantasy.
Even the left doesn’t support these rules. The Far Left say they didn’t go far enough. The Left says they aren’t net neutrality and they enable the practices they are against to go into overdrive.
The right says they are a take over by the FCC of ISPs (True) because they have to bless everything.
They are all right, Tempest just doesn’t want to read.
These rules motivate ISPs to move into a direction of content filtering while still allowing the politically well connected to violate the rules as long as they have the FCC’s blessing.
All you need to do is give money to the right party.
Read the Rules Tempest, others have and the support is dropping!
Alright so how is that any different than before? What negative impact do these specific rules have. that’s something that no one is answering.

There is a ton of stuff in this thread.
Please note, FCC Rules will allow anything or everything as long as you are politically connected. The rules do not prohibit anything at this point as long as you are politically well connected.
“This is a starter home” as they say
Alright you didn’t answer the question...
