Scoot over, Mitt & Sarah, more will run
Boston Herald ^ | 12/13/10 | Holly Ribichaud

As the race among Republicans to challenge a wounded President Obama stampedes north next month, there will be more names besides Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin swirling around New Hampshire.

It’s a wide-open field of potential GOP candidates from Mike Huckabee to John Thune and Tim Pawlenty. Possibly Haley Barbour and old but new Newt Gingrich may step in and dance. There could even be a Bush.

Despite a hit reality cable show and book tour, it is unlikely that Palin will abandon her money-making efforts or her status as a king-maker to run.

If Huckabee wins, you’ll be browbeating me to support him, like you did for those of us too principled to vote for Juan Amnesty last time.

Sarah Palin is the only reason any conservative voted for the POS McCain in '08.

Meanwhile, Obamacare has come up for judicial review and Elana Kagen is sitting on the Supreme Court.

Dimwit.

I don't know how many pings I get to his PDS threads, but I usually try to ignore them. Calling her a RINO is par for his course, but putting her in the same category with Romney is unconscionable. He's flying trial balloons for every 1%er.

It's getting sicker and more vile everyday. Since you pinged me and Jim to this one, I'm posting the link and his comments from this thread below, which I find truly disgusting, in light of the press coverage about her "hairdresser" when quite obviously Sarah Palin was in Haiti on charity work with Frankin Graham and refused to speak with the lamestream, save for one short statement.

Yes, she is asking for aid, (of course) on behalf of Samaritan’s Purse, and she should be applauded for that. Sheesh.

If pissant has his way, he'd like to make FR hostile to Sarah Palin. How stupid, sick and unfortunate is that?

Palin Urges Americans ‘Not to Forget Haiti’ (wants more aid)

pissant's posts

Photo op

Palin Deification Syndrome (PDS) is certainly a problem here. But I don’t suffer from it.

I hear ya. Her photo-op in Haiti was barely covered by the press. /s

Well, she went to Haiti to burnish her Foreign Policy cred, instead she stepped in it. Oh well, not unexpected.

This gal makes Chuckie Schumer look camera shy.

I bet she will be going overseas a lot in 2011 to build up her foreign policy experience.

Going overseas as a private citizen without portfolio does absolutely nothing to build up foreign policy experience. If it did my ten year old grandson, who has been to more countries and continents than Palin has, would be the one to beat.

What makes a GOOD President????

For starters, they need to have the position of "Governor" somewhere on their résumé. I don't care what their conservative bonafides are. If they haven't governed a state, they're not qualified to govern the country. This business of running senators and representatives puts us in the mess we're in now --a clueless executive. Hell, at least Billy Jeff knew what he was doing.

"US AID, and other efforts from the US Government, certainly that is appreciated and I hope that won't stop. I know that there's been some discussion of US AID perhaps being lifted from this area. I think no, if some of these politicians would come here, again not to get political, but if some of the politicians would come here and see the conditions, perhaps they'd see the need for military airlifts to come bring supplies that are so needed here."

Thanks onyx.

I've never seen this level of PDS, even from the left.

Congress provided $100 million for hurricane relief and reconstruction assistance for Haiti and other Caribbean countries in the FY 2009 continuing appropriations resolution, signed September 2008.

Haiti received an estimated $287 million in regular appropriations for FY 2009. The FY 2010 request is $292.8 million.

LOL! Calling Sarah Palin a "RINO" renders the term absolutely meaningless.

That is the obvious plan. To distort the meaning of words to the point where rational conversation is impossible.

In the end, conservatism loses, and that perhaps is the plan as well.

(Pinging you, pissant, only because you make rational conversation impossible, therefore are the subject of my comments. Your motivation is unclear, but the result of your ludicrous labeling is not - division among conservatives. Not good. Not good at all).

You are such a terrible waste of a human. You only support conservatives who can't poll over 1%, who can never win anything, who you deem "pure", and who never can help anything, who basically are losers. Good grief, John Bolton for president? Really? He's never won a decent elective office, never held executive power of any kind, yet this is an example of who you want to run?

The only surprise about you is how insane you've become in such a short time. Hey, we can help, we can pitch in and get you psychiatric help.

Honest.

On your recommendation I will retract the use of RINO regarding Palin. She has enough standard Republican positions, I reckon, for that to be an overkill of the term. Besides, most republicans are not all that conservative, so having a few liberal positions is pretty much in the wheelhouse of a GOPer.

Having said that, how is it “divisive” among conservatives for me and others to highlight Palin’s weaknesses, while her fan club has no qualms shining a bright spotlight on every other candidates’? Answer: You demand a coronation.

Hey there, long time no see.

Pissy lives for division and hyperbole, he especially loves to divide conservatives. He's become a tragic figure in lots of ways, slowly driving himself insane.

Unfortunately for him, his attempt to divide only appears to give him the attention he sadly needs, but it really doesn't forward the conservative cause.

Most people on the forum know how crazy he's become, alas, he seems to be the last one to know.......

If supporting Mitt over Hunter is a sign of political acumen, you can keep it.

Yep, keep changing the subject from how crazy and divisive you've become.

You might want to look up the term cognitive dissonance.

The theory works on lunatics too....just a lot faster than on most........

And yes, you're the last to know.

Answer: You demand a coronation

You're not even close to right on that one. I haven't even made up my mind yet, though I respect Sarah like crazy..

But I also respect the truth........and you weren't telling it.

Yep, keep changing the subject from how crazy and divisive you've become.

No, you, being a card carrying cultist, want to talk about me, rather than the politics at hand. So it is you constantly changing the subject.

So if your going to go off topic and inundate FR with lectures to me about how stupid or divisive it is for me to support only conservatives, it's only fair that people know you are a Myth lickspittle lecturing a guy who supports genuine Reaganites like Hunter, DeMint & Pence.

If I was the only vote for Hunter over 50 million for Myth, I'd happily live with that.
