This is from TX State House districe 48 race in central Texas.

15 votes seperate Howard (d) and Neil (R).

Name Party Votes Vote %
Howard, Donna (i) Dem 24,997 49%
Neil, Dan GOP 24,982 49%
Easton, Ben Lib 1,517 3%

As far as I know, Dan Neil has not asked for a recount, and have no clue as why not.

Did they “discover” 450 ballots or did they merely correct a transcription error? It isn’t that rare for someone to, for example, input a number such as “500” as “50” and thus cost a candidate 450 votes (back in the 2002 Alabama gubernatorial election a transcription error cost GOP candidate Bob Riley thousands of votes in Baldwin County, and when it was corrected he won the election). If that’s what happened, then adding 450 to Etheridge wasn’t a case of Democrat cheating. That being said, we need to keep an eye out for cheating by Democrat officials.

This is why we need sharia law for election fraud. Beheading seems an appropriate punishment for cheating us out of our vote. Has a democrat ever lost a close election?

If they’ve already counted all of the absentees and Dan Neil is still behind by such few votes, he should definitely call for a recount. If he lost, he lost, but he owes it to his voters to make sure that he actually lost before conceding.

Of course there are more votes for Etheridge. It’s hard to get those dead people to the polls on time.

“Has a democrat ever lost a close election?”

Al Gore? : )

But seriously, the Dems lose about half of the close elections. That’s not to say that they haven’t stolen several close ones in the past few years (such as the 2004 WA governor’s race, the 2008 MN Senate race, etc.).

I tried to contact his campaign office, but no answer yesterday. I will try again today. BTW, this is the state house district I live in as well.

If he pulls out a win, the (R)s will have a quorum and the rats can’t stop a thing. They can run and leave the state like they did last time redistricting came up and it will do them no good.

They can hire lawyers, but the courts won't do anything about 'Rat cheating. This same thing happened to Rossi in the '04 Governor election in WA State, and Coleman in the MN Senate contest against Frankenputz. The courts aren't there for justice when it comes to a 'Pub plaintiff against 'Rat cheating.

The only thing that will stop this is taking it public, mainly to the streets. What stopped Gore's attempted theft of FL in 2000 was people going down to the Board of Elections and literally pounding on doors to be allowed to oversee a fair recount process. If Etheridge and the 'Rats steal this one, the 'Pubs have to go street on him. I'm series...

Actually, on second thought, since the House makes it's own rules as to who is seated, this may be a chance for payback of the 'Rats stealing the one House seat in Indiana in the 1984 election. Do exactly what the 'Rats did back then. They conducted their own "recount", and kept changing the rules on which votes to count and disallow until the numbers worked out in their favor. They had to change the rules of the "recount" six or seven times, adding and changing requirements, making things like marks outside of the box next to the candidate's name causing the ballot to be disqualified, or marking an "x" in the box when the instructions said "check the box", that kind of thing. In the end, the 'Rat ended up "winning" by, are you ready for this, a grand total of eight votes. I say to the same thing to Etheridge if he steals it.

The good news is that since the Reps took both houses of the NC legislature, they get to redraw the districts and get rid of the gerrymandered ones the Dems cooked up.

I live here and voted for her. Honestly, if they can just steal it - why bother voting anymore? No one stands up, it is like “normal” for them to steal elections and no one does a damn thing. Seriously, why bother voting? Sorry, I am that disgusted.

The counting isn't finished yet. They still have military, provisionals, and mailed ballots to count.

Statement from Dan Neil's campaign:

“It will be several days before every legal vote has been received and counted, including the votes of our servicemen and women defending our freedom overseas. After campaigning for this seat for a full year, I want to ensure every legal vote is counted through a fair and transparent process. Once that process has concluded, we will determine the appropriate course of action in order to ensure the will of the electorate is honored.”

‘Then, in Etheridge’s home area of Sampson County more than 450 votes were “found”’

Do our lawyers get to examine those particular frickin’ votes?

Or that they are, indeed, a criminal enterprise...complete with bought off judges...

Wow! Thanks for sharing. I missed that blip. I sure hope he wins and gives Frizzy headed Donna the boot. That would really help the state house for the (R) side.

Etheridge said he's confident the gap between him and Ellmers will close further once provisional ballots and some absentee ballots are counted in the race. He also said his campaign has heard about "voting irregularities" in some counties, but he didn't elaborate.

NC *Ping*

Please FRmail MitchellC if you want to be added to or removed from this North Carolina ping list.

The rumor is that 450 votes for Etheridge were counted twice in Sampson County. The state BOE is doing a recount and auditing these precincts as we speak (type?)
