Many GOP Senate candidates doubt climate science

WASHINGTON — Scientists say evidence from around the globe clearly shows that human activity is changing the climate. Conservative Republican candidates in U.S. Senate races nationwide, however, don't agree.

It's a point that scores well with tea party activists, but contradicts what NASA, the National Academy of Sciences and other prominent science organizations have been telling readers on their websites.

Victories by these candidates Tuesday could make Senate action on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases — already stalled — even more unlikely to restart next year. Still, even with the complex energy and climate bill looking dead, Republicans have used it — especially the cap-and-trade part about reducing emissions — to bash Democrats. In doing so, they've also cultivated uncertainty about climate change.

"The science is overwhelming," said Rep. Baron Hill, D-Ind., House Energy and Commerce Committee member in a close race in a conservative district. "There is no question about that."

Except it ain't science, Baron, ol' buddy, ol' pal. It's propaganda.

And, if you're dumb enough to buy into it, you're too dumb to be re-elected.

Dumbass.

“Green” is no more about the environment than Marxism is about the workers. The purpose of the radical environmental movement is enforced global poverty.

Leftism has devolved into an utterly anarchist philosophy. They want to destroy the world so they can rule unchallenged over a recreated middle ages where a tiny chosen few will rule over a world of misery, suffering, and death.

Scientists say evidence from around the globe clearly shows that human activity is changing the climate.

This is a variant of the "some people say" meaningless phrase that has been discredited by all real scientists in all the relevant sciences that have actual knowledge of the imaginary "problem."

Bottom line : without names, and what science these "scientists" are recognized to be knowledgeable about, I simply stop reading whenever I see...

"Scientists say..." without any documentation whatsoever. Any idiot can use that phrase in the fond hope that readers more ignorant than themselves will unquestioningly buy into the BS that follows.

Scientists say evidence from around the globe clearly shows that human activity is changing the climate.

What an outright lie. Some scientists say this. Others don't. Implying that all scientists believe this is a blatant lie.

Adding insult to injury, what is offered up by the true believers in anthropogenic global warming are simply non-falsifiable hypotheses.

"Hot weather — it must be anthropogenic global warming!"

"Cold weather — MORE evidence of global warming!"

"Ice caps not melting on schedule — unquestionably, it's more AGW!"

Even worse, some of the most strident climate hoaxers have been caught rigging the numbers when nothing else works.

You’re dead on. I wish I had a nickle for every time I heard something like that come out of the mouths of liberal professors. They thought I was one of them just because I was a prof. They foolishly thought that a stack of degrees was an “education.”

Lots of highly credentialed nitwits in the world. The educated fool is still a fool. You can pack information into someone with no common sense but it won’t make up for the deficit.

The green movement began with the idea that the environment can be used to further its anti-freedom, anti-prosperity goals. Then they created a theory to fit that agenda. Greens are indifferent to its truth or falsehood. Power is the real goal.
