Obama Renews Challenge to Political Ads

President Barack Obama Saturday renewed his call for legislation that would require groups to reveal funding sources for political ads, saying Americans are already being overwhelmed by "a flood of attack ads run by shadowy groups."

In his weekly radio address, Mr. Obama said a Supreme Court decision gives corporations too much sway over elections and urged Republicans to stop blocking legislation he says would add more transparency to the election process.

Business groups such as the Chamber of Commerce argue that the bill placing new limits on political ads would violate free-speech rights, and they slam it as an unfair plan to discourage corporations from funding election efforts. And recently, Senate Republicans blocked the bill known as the Disclose Act.

Obama is a two-faced POS. And he has no respect for us...thinks we are so stupid that we don't see through his BS. Example: Union campaign money all goes to democrats, especially those dems who play footsie with the union leadership. Anyone notice that a large portion of the funds given to democrat campaigns is now coming indirectly from taxpayers (bailouts,etc.)? Here's one way they do it: Union leadership gives money to democrat campaign funds. Whoops, surprise, surprise...unions don't have enough money remaining to honor their pension and health care commitments.....no matter, Obama and his running dogs will bail out the unions with public funds. Aren't all you conservative republicans happy to be contributing to the democrats campaign funds through your tax dollars?? Ever wonder why the most frequent visitor to Obama’s white house these past few years was the head of the SEIU (Union)? Working out payback details. Using taxpayer money for campaigning is a federal crime....why are we tolerating it? Although convoluted, its not that hard to see!!!

The Wee Wee really meant to say was that we need legislation that would require some groups to reveal funding sources for some political ads because some Americans are overwhelmed by "a flood of some attack ads run by some shadowy groups."

Fortunately, my minions are not shadowy ... and we never run any attack ads ... because we limit ourselves to telling the truth ... as we see it.

Not that I know of, this guy is in a league of his own on that regard I guess.

This guy knows only one thing: campaigning. He knows nor cares nothing about consensus or even simple notions about the will of the people. He is an elitist and a devout socialist, probably even an islamist syncophant. One character flaw will bring him down, his ego.

My fear is when he sees the end of his reign is over, either by time in office or by seeing his popularity drop to woeful levels, he will become more shrill. Aided by his pack of sheep in the Congress, he may try to become a dictator for life...which he is preparing for by packing the Supreme Court with fellow socialists and marxists. Note how his administration was so angry by what happened in Central America wherein a country tried to remove a dictatorial president king, they were strongly against the constitutional removal of the president trying to vacate his constitutional term of office.

I’d like to know the source of Dem funding and suspect much of it is US taxpayers. That said, if Null Set gooses congress into passing something, it will force for profit corporations to reveal all and the shadowy non-profits will remain as opaque as ever. Personally, I’d like a completely clear chain of funding shown for everything, but will not hold my breath.
