President Barack Obama Saturday renewed his call for legislation that would require groups to reveal funding sources for political ads, saying Americans are already being overwhelmed by "a flood of attack ads run by shadowy groups."
In his weekly radio address, Mr. Obama said a Supreme Court decision gives corporations too much sway over elections and urged Republicans to stop blocking legislation he says would add more transparency to the election process.
Business groups such as the Chamber of Commerce argue that the bill placing new limits on political ads would violate free-speech rights, and they slam it as an unfair plan to discourage corporations from funding election efforts. And recently, Senate Republicans blocked the bill known as the Disclose Act.

If they keep their majority in Congress they will probably jam this through, as they did with Obamacare.

That describes the mysterious cartel that maneuvered YOU into the White House, Hussein.
he got his wittle feelins hurt....
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am a big boy, and I can handle it.
I would much rather a law that reveals funding sources for politicians. Democrats seem to get a lot of money from shady sources. I wouldn’t mind seeing where the folks I support get their money from also.
Most of the Dem money probably comes either directly or indirectly from that “shadowy group” known as the taxpayers.
He's wandering into the "Be careful what you wish for" territory.
From another article:
“The Supreme Court’s January ruling in the Citizens United case infuriated Obama, who took the unusual step of publicly rebuking the justices in his State of the Union address as they sat in the front rows. Chief Justice John Roberts later called the comments inappropriate from a president in such a setting.”

DeMint needs to stand up and say, “I’ll agree to your suggestion if you agree to reveal all of your donors that contributed $220 or less in the last federal campaign.”
Simple and easy. (And Jorge Soros runs for cover?)
More from the article I linked in my post 10 — at least Republicans are speacking up -— go, Mitch McConnell!
“Americans want us to focus on jobs, but by focusing on an election bill, Democrats are sending a clear message to the American people that their jobs aren’t as important as the jobs of embattled Democrat politicians,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) said in an e-mail response to Obama’s address.
“The President says this bill is about transparency. It’s transparent alright — it’s a transparent effort to rig the fall elections.”
Didn't they already in the house? Which brings up a question I've never thought of before: can the senate or house vote on a bill passed by the other chamber in a previous session, or does all pending legislation die when a new congress starts?
Anyone gets a chance to see video of this, whats with his eyes? Very glassy, particularly the left one.
