Watch out Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich is 'serious' about running for president in 2012

Move over Sarah Palin, Newt is "serious."

Newt Gingrich said he is considering a run for president in 2012 and will make his final decision early next year.

"I've never been this serious," Gingrich told the AP.

The former House speaker said he will be helping fellow Republicans get reelected in the midterms, but will decide in February or March whether to seek the nomination.

Credited with the Republican takeover of the House during Bill Clinton’s presidency in 1994, Gingrich even fronted the movement to impeach the President during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Are you telling me a 2 inch X 10 inch cartoon on page 45 has the same impact as main stream media TV on a major channel of NBC in living color and performed brilliantly by Tina Fey who I had never heard of before?

Making notes: DO not hire Mere Survival as my campaign consultant when I run for a political office.

"Newtie was serious when he sat on the couch with Nazi Pelosi."

Whoever he ends up running against should flood the country with bumper stickers with her sitting with the puke.

Underneath it, just one word:

RINO.

“Democrats can get away with that crap because they are sleazy and no one expects anything else from them. Conservatives are expected to maintain a higher standard.”

I’m for holding all politicians to the same “higher standard.”

Why should Democrats get a pass because they are “Democrats?”

Palin, DeMint, Bachmann, Ryan

. . .Cristy. . . There are a few more; but cannot think of them/sigh. . . Anyway; would love to see Marco Rubio win and move up as a VP candidate in 2012. . .(Want Lt. Col. Allen West to win in Fla. as well.)

We do have some great Repubs; but they need to 'winnable' Repubs. . .

.
Yes, he was, and Haley Barbour and Mitt Romney were instantly kicking themselves for not thinking of it first!

I don't see Newt being a strong contender, but then I didn't think McInsane would obtain the nomination either.

Did you never hear of Doonesbury before or Tina Fey? Don’t understand what you are saying. You are a kid if you didn’t hear of Doonesbury before and you aren’t learning; you are talking to someone that could wipe his own fanny during the 1980 election and you should listen. They came after Reagan with everything they had. He won. Simple as that.

The media in those days was 3 networks, newspapers and weekly mags. Doonsebury was big, Trudeau’s wife was the anchor of the Today Show, there was no FOX and the network news was biased against Reagan with no counter in the media.
