Move over Sarah Palin, Newt is "serious."
Newt Gingrich said he is considering a run for president in 2012 and will make his final decision early next year.
"I've never been this serious," Gingrich told the AP.
The former House speaker said he will be helping fellow Republicans get reelected in the midterms, but will decide in February or March whether to seek the nomination.
Credited with the Republican takeover of the House during Bill Clintons presidency in 1994, Gingrich even fronted the movement to impeach the President during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

If it comes down to those two, I'll take Palin. Fortunately, it shouldn't.

I would too. Through Haley Barbour into the mix and Newt comes in third. All other republicans will kindly get the F* out of the way and not clog up the works.

I love Newt and I think he’s got more brains in his little finger than anyone currently in DC has in their whole bodies. It’s too bad Newt has so much baggage—the socialists will destroy him.

Whatever else some might think about Newt he is politically savvy. I think if he HONESTLY plans on gauging his level of support in Iowa he’ll find that his ship has sailed.

If he’s so smart, why was he pimping Algore’s global warming farce?

I love Sarah and think she would make a great President. Sometimes, though, I wish she’d stop talking about two sentences before she does. Like when she just used the word “refutiate” on Hannity.
There’s “refute” and “repudiate”, but I’ve never heard “refutiate”.

Sit down and shaddup, Newt. All you suck-up Pubbies keep this shit up, and
I'm gonna run. And
nobody - on either side of the ideological spectrum - is gonna like my platform.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."
To: pissant
Newt certainly has bad baggage but he will add to the discussion in a positive manner. Let ‘em all run, we will sort them out. That’s America.

Consider yourself flamed.
Newt is damaged goods. His conduct while his wife was in the hospital was contemptible.
Democrats can get away with that crap because they are sleazy and no one expects anything else from them. Conservatives are expected to maintain a higher standard.
There is a role for Newt, but not as President.

MSM will go after Palin 10 times more than Newt. Most voters
get all their info from MSM. Neither one of them can defeat Zero.
Newt has baggage. Palin is hated more than any other by MSM.

To: Paladin2
Republicans are always looking at the past. They have two good Governors in ND and SD who can easily be the front-runner. They have strong conservatives in the House.
Still, they promote the same old retreads. It's very frustrating.
To: Undocumented_capitalist
Palin is hated more than any other by MSM.
That's more reason to vote for her. When commies hate something ...

Newt had his chance as Speaker of the House and he blew it by not being able to keep his zipper zipped. I won’t forget that!
