While 300,000 of us on FR (at the max), and a dozen seminar critics on her Facebook page (out of 1.5 million), argue about whether she is doing the right thing or wrong thing, here or there, many millions outside of FR are supporting her, and watching for her every next move.
She is leading. She is setting the course.

Update: I’d like to add a few things about my Carly endorsement because some reaction right out of the chute calls for more information:
Carly has been endorsed by the National Right to Life, the California Pro-Life Council, and the Susan B. Anthony List. She is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-military, and pro-strict border security and against amnesty. She is against Obamacare and will vote to repeal it and prevent the government takeover of private companies and industries. Carly is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Like me, she is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners. She is pro-energy development and believes as I do in an all-of-the-above approach to energy independence. She is against cap and tax. And most importantly, Carly is the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer. That’s no RINO. That’s a winner.

Last time I checked, the plantation owner mentality of a permanent rotating underclass is a RINO position. If they aren’t actual, legal immigrants on a path to citizenship with a commitment and loyalty to America, why should they be here taking jobs from Americans ? “Temporary workers” just disappear into the populace after the “seasonal” work is done. Workers who overstayed their visas account for a third of all the illegal aliens already here.
The DeVore voters, the Hunter voters and Tancredo voters should have a meeting next week. I hear there’s going to be an empty phone booth at the end of street.
“Scary” though it may be to the faint of heart, and weak of bladder, I will support the Lady should she choose to run, or not.
Should she not choose to run, here’s hoping we don’t get another weak “Republican” male as dictated by the left and those unwilling to see the forest for the trees.
You might want to google “Fiorina Foundation” and do a little reading, little miss carly is a progressive.
EVerything I’ve read about Fiorina suggests she is nothing more than a Liberal with a “business background”, and certainly not a rara avis even in that company.
She was NOT heralded for what she did “for” Hewlett-Packard in her tenure there, so seeking political office for her looks like The Peter Principle in action. If DeVore at this point really has built no solid grassroots support (I don’t know one way or another), then Palin’s help wouldn’t be much help at all, it would merely look stupidly quixotic.
It may just be that DeVore and his candidacy and perhaps his past history, whatever it might be (once again, I don’t know) offered no handle for Palin to get hold of, whereas Fiorina’s got a “story” that can be exploited multiple ways
for political purposes. I can’t believe that Palin’s support signals a liberal tilt for Palin, and I also can’t believe that Fiorina is likely to become another Sarah Palin, (whoever that might be, all things considered).

A. Conservatives running in the primaries don’t get the support of the voters, I get it.
B. Are the voters so lazy that they can no longer research a candidate on their own? I mean a google search takes how many seconds?
C. Yes the GOP has written off California. Could it be because of who gets elected there? The demographic breakdown of the voters there? At some point wouldn’t you have to see that you are trying to outswim the tide and move to calmer waters?
D. Is it possible that the GOP pushes for the furthest left RINO to get elected because in reality not everyone can sell a refrigerator to an eskimo?
E. Sure Californians of every political stripe voted for prop 8 and God Bless them for it. In fact it got majority support from ethnic minorities. Those same ethnic minorities have voted for and will always vote for the furthest left politicians running and you KNOW IT.
F. I have mean’t you no personal disrespect but you seem to wear your state pride on your sleeve whereas I see nothing whatsoever to be proud of....so we have butted heads. I do apologize if any of my words have stung but they were true as I see the situation. If I be wrong, then who the hell am I? Just some lone moron on the internet somewhere. Of course millions and millions of people across this nation probably agree with me.
Maybe they just haven’t yet had the opportunity to be swayed by the wit and grace that you have shown me ;o)
umm...you obviously have not read the comments on her FB page. The common sentiment from those who are upset is “we love you , but you made the wrong choice on this one”. It’s not just a handful of people, hence the coverage of the blowback in the news.
If the good guy is at 2% and the other guy you don’t like so much is at 37%, it’s kind of tough to get folks to change to the ‘best guy’. If it’s 15% vs 7%, that can be overcome rather quickly with hard work.
I have changed over the years. There are people I will no longer support based on their policies. If they’re nothing more than a backed over Democrat(R), why bother supporting them? They’ll just vote like a Democrat anyway.
If bad things are going to happen, let them happen under the Democrat, then hold them to account for it. Nothing bothers me more when it comes to politics than to see my own team doing the wrong thing. How do you go out and recruit new support for sound policy, when your own party has done exactly the opposite of what they should have been doing.
That’s a real confidence killer. It hurts you, because you don’t like it, and it kills your ability to get others to trust what you’re saying. “Oh yeah, who are you to talk about spending? Your party is as bad as the other!” And yes, sadly that is sometimes true.

That moderate term covers a lot of ills IMO.
What is a Conservative?
1. Fiscal responsibility
2. Strong military
3. Right to life
4. Strong Constitutional support
5. Capitalist Free Markets
6. Sovereignty
7. Small government, keeping the money in the hands of the wage earner, decisions as close to the citizen as they can be, so they can have the most impact on them
8. Strong Judeo Christian morality set (whether practicing or not) hard working, honesty, compassionate, living by the golden rule, helping others, self supporting
Switch the order up if you like, but this is where it’s at IMO.
While Conservatives get a bad rap constantly for being ‘right wing’, IMO, these are already moderate stances. They aren’t far out concepts. They are bedrock middle of the road concepts.
So when someone says, hey I’m a moderate, what does that really mean? It means they are to one degree or another left of this.
So when someone says, hey I’m a moderate, that tells me they aren’t buying what we’re selling.
Is that a moderate really?
Take a look at those principles. Which one of those items on the list do you think are hard right policy?
On the spectrum of left or right, I see those issues as right smack dab in the middle. They are the policies of a sound government and national condition.
Hey, at least that’s how I see it. You veer from those principles and you’re not really a moderate. A moderate is essentially a Conservative, because Conservative principles are dead center of where our policies should be as a nation.
So no, I don’t buy the idea a RINO can be a moderate. I can understand why you would say that in light of today’s political climate. I just don’t see someone who is going the moderate route to really be one. I see them as a leftist. If you can only support fifty to seventy percent of what I put up there, are you really a moderate?
Start looking at those items and ask yourself which of those tenets you think you could see a person denying, and still think of them as anything other than a part time leftist.

Actually, it looks to me like she’s the pragmatic conservative that I think she is.
Chuck DeVore is not going to win. Even if he wins the primary, which is unlikely, he would still be kitten food against “don’t call me ma’am!”
Which is better? Carly Fiorina or Barbara Boxer? I think that Carly Fiorina is infinitely better. And that’s really the choice here. California is not a bastion of conservatism that is going to elect a Chuck DeVore or Jim DeMint or Brent Sessions. I wish it was otherwise, but it just isn’t going to happen.
I prefer 60% of a loaf to no loaf. And Gov. Palin made the correct and pragmatic choice here.
Grunther, you’re wasting both of our time. There are a number of silly statements in your post. They don’t reflect that you have been reading my responses to you.
Conservative principles have a universal appeal. They are bedrock family values oriented. If you think they are special tenets that could only appeal to folks that aren’t Californians, then that’s okay by me.
I have explained to you what is taking place on the ground in California. From across the nation, you think you have a better handle on it than I do.
