Sarah Palin: Let’s shake it up in California! (Sarah endorses Carly Fiorina - Huh?)
Facebook ^ | Sarah Palin

Posted on 05/06/2010 12:29:51 PM PDT by FightforFreedomCA

I’d like to tell you about a Commonsense Conservative running for office in California this year. She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread. Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction – facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.

Her name is Carly Fiorina, and I’m proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate.

Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, she’s running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for America’s economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.

Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat California’s liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. I’m a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I’m glad to see the contest in California’s GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid “Big Government” agenda.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Carly. Visit her website here, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter. Read up on her positions and plans to help get us on the right track.

California is still Reagan Country, and Carly promises her “Reagan Conservative” values will be put to good use for her state and for our great nation. Shaking it up in California is long overdue. Let’s help Carly do it!

Thanks Donna. I think Palin is getting terrible advice.

About twenty years ago, I wasn’t able to grasp the idea that our own party leadership had been corrupted. You have to understand that before you realize there are going to be times when you can’t back the party line.

I just don’t think Palin is there yet.

That’s such a good point.

It also parallels the problem in California, which had a similar dynamic in that Conservatives were not getting their message out there. I believe it’s accurate to state that McCain didn’t get our message out in 2008.

This dynamic should be easier to understand when put into the context of what you opened the door for. I appreciate it.

Palin Endorses Pro Life, Traditional Marriage, Military, Anti-Amnesty & 100% NRA Rated Carly Fiorina

Governor Palin is Right that Carly Fiorina is the Best Choice for California Conservatives

Your poll seems to be an outlier.

Considering Fiorina's funding and only weeks left to spend that money, it looks like Palin is making a desperate attempt to stop Tom Campbell.

LMAO!!!

Man, this thread has really brought the freaking morons back out from their parents’ basements! It’s full of the same simpletons who got their panties in a twist because Sarah didn’t stab McCain in the back like the disloyal ingrate they wanted her to be.

Fiorina is a conservative, and she has signed a pledge and stated unequivocally that she will never vote to raise taxes. She is also running good, smash-mouth ads against that simple scumbag Boxer.

Threads like these are an embarrassment. Thank God Sarah doesn’t get her advice here.

I saw where the Huck endorsed Devore...it won’t make much difference in the race...is he still dancing around the edges of 2012, waiting for Palin to “slip up” ???

Fine, let's do it then, sounds easy as punch.

Glad you're on board. You can start by sending a donation today: Chuck DeVore

I don’t know. Her stated postition is that life begins at conception and that she opposes abortion except in the case of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother. She also has said that she opposes taxpayer funding of abortions and supports mandatory parental notification when a minor seeks an abortion. I am not aware that she has taken a position on a possible outright federal ban, which would in any event be unconsitutional as long as Roe v. Wade and Griswold v. Connecticut are in place.

Fiorina is the type who will compromise on amnesty in exchange for higher limits on H1B and Green Cards. She was a failure at HP and chose an outsourcing strategy that resulted in large layoffs of skilled Americans.

AFAICS she is backing Fiorina because she has the bucks and might be more likely to win the primary and beat Boxer than DeVore who is still the “Who?” candidate for some reason.

Carly is way better than Campbell, and he was the likely winner in the primary, due to the huge crossover registration that the unions are pushing.

The Republican party in California is a real mess.

“She SAYS secure the border first, then adds that we need a
‘guestworker program that works.’”

“Sounds just like McCain, doesn’t it?”

.
Sounds like Ron Reagan in ‘66.

That was his main mantra, and it got business behind him in a big way in the gubnatorial race.

I agree completely. DeVore is the only real conservative in the race. Palin has made another major mistake in judgment. Jim DeMint endorsed Devore. Michele Malkin, Mark Levin, Tom McClintock, Huckabee, Rohrabacher, and Jeff Flake endorsed Devore.

California Pro-Life Council AND Sarah Palin skipped DeVore.

I don’t know why.

We should immediately secure the borders, increase raids on employers, kick out the criminals, new arrivals, those on public assistance, but the end of the day we won’t be able to deport or cause the self-deportation of 12 million. Not going to happen. It would be the largest migration in history. At the end of the day, many are going to get status, better to give them green cards than citizenship.

I don’t know what Huckabee’s plans are, I was pleased that he endorsed Devore, but that is all I know.
