The Pubs had better make this a fight.
This can be a real election year boon if they fight obama’s radical nominees...

Well, it will be a change from a Liberal, to an America-hating Marxist who embraces fascism.

But I repeat myself.

Dirty pervert is doing it now to make sure that the Dems still hold the majority in the Senate. Because he wants to make sure Obama can appoint another freak rat traitor to the Constitution like himself. he knows just like we do, if his replacement isn’t a done and sealed issue, come November, He won’t see himself replaced by nother like minded scumrat Leftist.

He is retiring for purely political motives and timing.

Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, the court's oldest member and leader of its liberal bloc, he is retiring.

What appalling grammar.

This is GREAT. If we can take a big bite out of the Dem majority or even reverse it, we can force a better appointment than Stevens!!!!!

I guess I'm an eternal optimist, but I think the timing could be good on this one. It's also helpful that he's the libbiest of the bunch. Of course the Kenyan will want to replace him with an out-and-out communist.

That may not play in Peoria THIS time.

Not surprising. Now Bowrama will be able to replace the top liberal with a even more left leaning progressive!

The Obama administration is sure to nominate someone with a strong ACLU / public employee union legal background. Or perhaps a wise, muslim, homosexual.

He’s got to retire before Obama loses Congress in November.

You think Republicans should filibuster Obama’s appointment till the next congress ?? It seems tempting given the timing.

Well, at least it’s a liberal.

Easy prediction: The nominee will be a minority female, so that they can play the race and misogyny card and keep the “Tea Parties are racist” narrative going.

Desperation by the traitor Rat, after November Zero won’t be able to ram his Marxist replacement down our throats.

Maybe he can find somebody even more doctrinaire and less effective that Sotomayor.

One thing you can say about Stevens (as well as Souter) in that he was a traitor to the end. He could have retired while a Republican was in office since he was appointed by a Republican, but he wanted to make sure the Marxists kept his seat.

I wanted him to last at least until we had a better chance to get a better candidate with more GOP Senators in 2011. Maybe the GOP will have the balls to filibuster until then.
