Spain Monstrous waves that smashed into a Mediterranean cruise ship flooded people's cabins, broke windows in a restaurant and sent terrified travelers screaming for doctors, passengers said Thursday.
Claude Cremex, 73, of Marseille, France said he was in his cabin resting because of rough seas when the walls of water hit the Cypriot-owned Louis Majesty, which was carrying 1,350 passengers and 580 crew members off the coast of northeastern Spain.

Scary stuff.
I have started to add on one of the threads covering this event: If the cruise ship you’re on lounge singer starts singing “There’s Got to be a Morning After”, start praying!
No way in hell would I ever get on a cruise ship. It’s a floating prison as far as I’m concerned.
We were on one of the Windjammer ships between Palma and Barcelona, same area, during a rough storm.
The Captains white face as the crew tried to catch and secure the tables and chairs told a story, for sure.
You might say that Claude "surrendered" to the rough seas.

“If the cruise ship youre on lounge singer starts singing Theres Got to be a Morning After, start praying!”
It’s when the band starts playing, “Nearer, My God, to Thee”
that you’ve really got to start worrying!
Is that an attractive area to cruise? Not familiar with it.
Depends on where they are...
Huh?? You can leave hotels & resorts (which is usually the first thing I do when I get there... I like it “unpopulated” to say the least).
Cruise ship - stuck. People everywhere. My version of hell.
I agree with NiteRanger.....
LMAO!!!
"Doctor! Doctor! Stop the giant waves from washing me overboard! Doctor!!"
The cruise we took started in Lisbon, went to Casablanca, up and through the Gibratl St into the Med. It stopped at a Malaga and couple of Costa del Sol and Brava resort towns and then to Palma Majorca before ending at Barcelona.
I do not do many cruises and usually think my time could have been better spent, but that was a fine exerience in many ways. As far as I’m concerned including the storm in the Baleric Sea

Until the earthquake, tsunami, hurricane, landslide, riot or other event occurs...
That ain't me. I LIVE my life.
Not me. I go camping.
I lived in my truck and tents for several years as a whitewater kayaker, Traveled the country, saw incredible places, had a great time.
Now, I still kayak, but I prefer the MArriott for camping. If I want to tough it out, I go with the comfort inn....
