Sources: Limbaugh Rushed To Honolulu Hospital

HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

You’re thinking of Rick Hamada. He’s still on. Rush is still on KHVH.
Thanks! Good to hear that, knowing how fickle the radio business can be.

They are probably giving him a thorough check and playing it very safe.

I know someone who also recently thought he was having heart pains. The doctors ruled out a heart attack, and suggested that it was an esophageal contraction brought about by her digestive system.

Perhaps Limbaugh ate some really spicy foods, or just mixed incompatible cuisines between breakfast/lunch/dinner that caused an extreme gas attack?

A few years back, I had on my profile a side-by-side comparison of the DU reaction to Cheney being rushed to the hospital for chest pains and the FR reaction to B.J. Clinton being rushed to the hospital for chest pains. I should dig them up and repost them. The difference was mind-blowing.

Please do. The more we "out" the left for their ugliness, anger, hatred, juvenile vicious behavior the better. Normal Americans, who may believe the left are just nice people with different opinions need to see what they are really like.

“I know from personal experience a person can have chest pains the feel like a heart attack when it is something else. “

This happened to my Dad a number of years back. It was actually a gallbladder attack. No heart problems at all.

So, it could be very different from an actual heart problem.

Those of us with “acid-reflux disease” commonly have chest pains - many people go to the ER just in case it is a heart issue.

A year ago November I was drinking a very cold smoothie and suddenly had horrible chest pains, they were indicative of a heart attack, I was nauseated, cold sweats, etc... finally got my husband's attention, refused to let him call 911, he took my blood pressure and it was very low at the time, the pains continued for several hours and felt like an elephant on my chest... well, my husband made a doctors appointment for me and they did an EKG and another new test... showed nothing, so they sent me to the AZ Heart Institute and they did a Nuclear Stress Test and I had to go back for an echo cardiogram, finally determined there was nothing, not even a blockage... and likely a spasm caused by my lupus -- which can cause vascular spasms and feel like a heart attack....

There is so many things this could be.. certainly heart attack is one, but there is so many other things we just have to wait for what they decide to release.

Something like that is what I'm thinking. My friend's situation was similar, EKG normal, treadmill test/medical test to increase the heart rate was normal, no signs of heart attack (test for certain enzymes in the bloodstream that are released after a heart attack), etc.

He was kept overnight and released the next day. He never knew for sure what the problem was, but he thinks it was dietary.

My guess as a physician and its only that, is if Rush is still in the hospital it is most likely cardiac related. In fact assuming its a state of the art facility he most likely has already beeen cath’d and stented. Unless the cath revealed bypass was in order. I am confident Rush will recover but my guess is at this point its cardiac in nature.

Father God, once again I petition you on behalf of our brother, Rush. Watch over him as tests are performed. Grant his physicians the wisdom, intuition, and skill to recommend appropriate treatments. And most importantly, Dear Father, let Rush follow their advice. Guard and guide him in all things. In Jesus’ name I ask these things, Amen.

Another thing that can mimic a heart attack is acid reflux .. believe it or not ..

When my son was in high school he had what the school nurse thought was a heart attack .. heart rate all over the place, severe chest pain on the left .. They called an ambulance (I have NEVER been so scared in my life .. )

Upon further testing his neurologist of all things figured out acid reflux.. (he has it himself) .. and prescribed Protonix ... never happened again. Dr’s said that it can be so severe the only way to tell is via tests ...

Hopefully all Rush is having is a MINOR problem!! Haven’t heard anything in a while.. :(

The hardcore lefties, are just bitter, vile, and sorry to say, in most cases, EVIL people. What would you expect from a lot that is largely atheist, believes in homosexuals marrying, and babies being killed in the womb?

As much as I dislike lefty commentators like Olby, Maher, Mattthews, etc...I couldnt FATHOM wishing illness or death upon them, its just a sick thing to contemplate..

This whole incident should serve as a wake up call as to who our enemies truly are(as if we need one), and strengthen our resolve to kick their asses even worse in 2010..

my really long post ?

That's the one :)

That little gang of overgrown 12 year olds believes being a conservative is more important than being a decent human being. They needed to be called out, and you did it perfectly.

Have you noticed that not one of them bothered to add a comment to this thread? Nearly 1800 posts and not so much as a "Get well soon". It's the same with most of the prayer threads here. They don't care. The only thing that interests them is spreading misery. That's not conservatism.

feeing ,I meant feeling.

So glad Rush is okay.
My Mom died of a heart attack when She was just 56 years young.
I had just turned 19.

I’d gladly take Her gone too soon place,so She could still be on Earth.
