Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Oh, I don’t know so much about that, I kinda like Chris Tomlin’s chorus addition to “amazing grace”.

But if you are adding/deleting major doctrinal points, that is another story.

First thing I do when I go to a new church, is check out the hymnal. It is usually the best gauge of beliefs/emphasis.

"They didn't like being called MORMONs; but now they don't mind it at all."

Actually, I am more concerned about me being called a Christian.

And it didn’t involve the “laying on of hands” either.

Come to think about, no. I have seen a painting of Emma, though.

I run the video at church and put the lyrics on the screen for the morning service. The software I have contains a large database with songs in it.

However, the worship team finds stuff from who knows where and gives me a Xerox copy that they'll be using.

I have messed up many times by not fully checking what they give me VS what the program has.

(But I have to plead guilty to changing archaic words/spelling at times myself.)

The referenced "hunting down" was a hypothetical

blah blah blah...rooty toot toot.

Many of those who post there did not "flee" as was suggested in an earlier post but instead were "cast out" from this forum.

Some did flee, and some wanted to get "cast out" as you call it. Intentionally breaking the rules of a private forum on private property deserves a different description...how about FR exercizing it's rights?

The one thing you evos apparently have never figured out is that you may have had a turncoat within your ranks who leaked some of the exit strategy...oh well, whoomp there it is!

lol. The guy at our church who runs the audio/video tends to forget to put the lyrics in the right order sometimes. All of a sudden the congregation is singing different lyrics from the worship team.

The archives and our memories are all here, intact, and there is no need or desire on our part to revist the filth and foul mouthed lunacy spread around here for years by your fellow "scientists".

Darwinists are scientists in title only. The truth is, if deference is not given to the proven facts in God's Word, then one is not doing science. Science cannot ignore facts, and anyone who defies the Bible cannot rightfully carry the title of "scientist". Nothing is more "foul-mouthed" then the denigration of the Lord and his Creation. The Bible is quite clear on how such people should be dealt with, and they should not get a free pass either in science, or (equally importantly) this site.

NewLand, I for one am glad you're here to help Jim Robinson identify these sleaze-balls, as you accurately state, to make FreeRepublic (and hence America and the Internet) a better place.

But the LDS don’t get the Holy Spirit until after they are baptized

****

As an former member I thought you understood this!

The Holy Ghost is manifested to men on the earth both as the power of the Holy Ghost and as the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The power can come upon one before baptism, and is the convincing witness that the gospel is true. It gives one a testimony of Jesus Christ and of his work and the work of his servants upon the earth.

The gift can come only after proper and authorized baptism, and is conferred by the laying on of hands, as in Acts 8: 12-25 and Moroni 2: 1-3.

The gift of the Holy Ghost is the right to have, whenever one is worthy, the companionship of the Holy Ghost.

More powerful than that which is available before baptism, it acts as a cleansing agent to purify a person and sanctify him from all sin. Thus it is often spoken of as “fire” (Matt. 3: 11; 2 Ne. 31: 17; D&C 19: 31).

Just a PAINTING??

Joseph Smith's package - November 2009.

"The Battle of the Bulge"

Or as Joseph's last plural wife, Mae West, was heard to say to him, "Is that a flaming sword in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?"

Joseph Smith devotion to Emma and all his other wives.
