Inhofe Says He Will Call for Investigation on "Climategate" (UN IPCC included!!)
senate.gov ^ | 11/23/2009 | senate.gov

Senator Inhofe: Well, on this thing, it is pretty serious. And since, you know, Barabara Boxer is the Chairman and I’m the Ranking Member on Environment and Public Works, if nothing happens in the next seven days when we go back into session a week from today that would change this situation, I will call for an investigation. ‘Cause this thing is serious, you think about the literally millions of dollars that have been thrown away on some of this stuff that they came out with.

Melanie Morgan: So what will you be calling for an investigation of?

Senator Inhofe: On the IPCC and on the United Nations on the way that they cooked the science to make this thing look as if the science was settled, when all the time of course we knew it was not.

Jed Babbin: Should somebody stop further spending on this until we get this investigation, Senator?

Senator Inhofe: Well, I don’t know how you do that, though, ‘cause we’re not the ones that are calling the shots. The interesting part of this is it’s happening right before Copenhagen. And, so, the timing couldn’t be better. Whoever is on the ball in Great Britain, their time was good.

Here’s my prediction of how htis is goign to play out- The CRU folks are goign to play innocent (those not invovled in the emails and chart fudging) and they are goign to hang those in the emails out to dry, and stand before the world and say something like “You can’t convict the whole climate control science movement based on the actions of a ‘Few Rogue Employees”, and they will clai mthat their is still a vast amount of research which supports the idea that man is to blame, and that we can’t villify the whole movement over a ‘scant few rogues’ when the ‘vast majority of ethical scientists’ still think man is to blame

You watch— they will throw their wounded to the wolves, and go on as if nothing untoward in the ‘vast majority’ of the ranks was ever goign on.

What we need is for more insider damning info from even more members of CRU and the IPCC to really solidify our case against them all- Just like ACORN, who claimed they were mostly innocent, and claimed we couldn;’t condemn the hwole movement based on a few bad apples- the issue was losing steam until new reports started emerging about how more acorn offices tried to bury incriminating facts but got caught in the process- now, people are really startign to take notice, and the movement’s credibility is really beginning to suffer irreversible damage-

Hopefully more and more incriminating evidence will come out against CRU and the IPCC showing the corruption to be widespread, otherwise, they are goign to feign innocence, claim they were duped by rogue employees, blindsided, and claim they knew nothign about it, and hte issue will quietly fade away, or at least amount to nothing more than a fleshwound from which they will recover, and govenrments will still continue using the ‘legit info’ to make their case that wer’e all a bunch of carbon craving evil gargoyles hell bent on earth’s destruction

Well I’m not familiar with RICO- but I hope they can nail them on this and that they won’t get away using some slimy tactics like Acorn tried to do- the side of right and truth REALLY NEEDS a win right now, and I hope it will for ever put to rest the alarmism and falsely placed guilt these government funded creeps have been imposing on us for too many decades now

I like Inhofe for the most part, but he needs to move more forcefully - and noisily - on this. He should be giving press conferences twice a week or so starting now. He will have to shame Boxer’s committee through loud, relentless attention to this. He should seek some assistance from energy state legislators and governors. Every energy state from FL to AK should be screaming bloody murder about this.

There is the US International Trade Court in NYC.

It is NOT a functionary of the DOJ. Stands independent.

Civil cases only. However, DAMAGES should be assessed against this outfit [and our guilty climate gangstas]. Once a civil International trade suit is in place, the rats won’t have a place to hide.

Does anyone have a way to mention this to Monkton or Beck?

INdeed! Why doesn’t Gore donate all of the $100 Million or so he has made off of his charade to groups supporting his cause?

Maybe because he knows its a fraud?

If someone really believed the earth was going to be destroyed, don’t you think they wouyld try to do more?

Poked my nose in over at the DU.

Not much talk of Climategate over there.

Not surprising either.

Thanks for the indepth look there - that is AMAZING and VERY untoward - no matter what Dr. Jones may say. As you say ‘spin that to the moon’ because it doesn’t change the evidence that they were trying to manipulate data and deceive the public and policy makers. None of us need to be reminded of the economic boondoggle of the ‘green’ movement of just the past 10 years. And of course the ‘pending’ (let’s hope not!) Cap and Tax shame that passed PelosLIE’s HOR.

You watch— they will throw their wounded to the wolves,
++++++++++++++++

That must be the ‘green’ way of saying throw them under the bus!

While I agree with you that we may need more - look over post 80 and just see the massive lengths they went to to manipulate.

How can any government body trust these wackos work again?

“...which shows that since 1990, Phil Jones has collected staggering
13.7 million British pounds ($22.6 million) in grants...”

Assuming the e-mails are authentic (and Jones has no other explanation/excuse),
as far as I’m concerned he shouldn’t have gotten a single pound/US Dollar.

Except maybe it was worth it to spend that money, only to have this
recent event of a rotted log being kicked over, the enviro-maggots
exposed to the santizing effect of sunlight.

After scaring the holy crap out the people of the earth for decades.

AS for the amounts of his grants...

Actually, that’s lower than I would have expected, seeing how it averages
out to just a bit over $1 million per year.

If, like most folks in Professor postings, he probably had some grad
students and/or postdoctoral fellows, needed to pay for some equipment
and/or upkeep, travel to academic meetings, as well as the usual
“overhead” that gets stripped off the top by the university administration
(sometimes, that can reach the 50% of the grant money, more or less
depending on the university).
I suspect for academia he was doing well, but not making out like
a real bandit...which doesn’t suprise me as he was such an evangelical
environmentalist, it was more about his ideology, not about the money.
Even if his junk science wrecked major, vital economies.

So much for scientific “consensus”.

It’s like the fraud when the Left claimed the certain European nations wouldn’t support our efforts to go to war against Saddam Hussein (because he’d bought them off) or when people would lie under oath for Bill Clinton because HE bought them off (Hi, Monica).

Evryeoen so ecxted abtou thsi nwse tyeh frgot to ues sllpe ckhec! Or mbye ist supr scrt frepeer cde!

I hope as the word gets out about this fraud that everyone reminds their liberal friends that 1) the science was fraudulent and is now proven, 2)The climate change people were going to pass laws that would cost us all (including our liberal friends and relatives) huge amounts of new taxes and 3) the people perprating this fraud were the ones who would personally benefit off of it.

I think only when liberals understand that they were going to be robbed and that Al Gore, etc were going to get rich off the fraud, that finally they will understand what is going on. If they can be made to understand what a fraud this whole thing was and would benefit their liberal dear leaders at their own expense, maybe, just maybe their minds will be opened on other subjects. (ha ha, I can dream can’t I?)

if the pro-climate control hucksters caught redhnded isn’t good enough for the news channels to get the word out, what is?

It took the media several days to even ACKNOWLEDGE that Dan Rather ran with crooked documents. Most of the public is STILL unaware of just how extreme an example that was of MANUFACTURED NEWS.

It's as bad as anything ever perpetrated in the Soviet press and yet "silence" from the fellow travellers in the Pravda Media.

Turn off American networks (including Fox) and don't subscribe to any daily paper or newsmagazine that ignores this whistleblower event.

Please make room for Demint.

Yes. He may live also.

That's 2 Senators total.

The other 98 should get busy helping the nitrogen cycle.
