Neither evening was unduly cold, but the wind and rain kept us from deploying the MOAB on either FReep 238 & 239. Although it's a lot more difficult to put up and take down wearing winter gear, the exertion required has the effect of warming you up. No matter, because Trooprally and Lurker Bill always have their Mini-MOABs. You can see one behind BufordP, and they work in all but the most extreme weather.
There was a CBS satellite vehicle outside the hospital on Nov 6 to tape a segment about the terrorist Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded 30 more at Ft Hood. Hasan had spent time at Walter Reed, so of course the media wanted to use the entrance as a backdrop for their story. It was no biggie, they sat there for a few hours and eventually someone I'd never seen before showed up to do what looked like a quick 10 minute segment.
And yes, of course Hasan was a terrorist. Radical Muslims around the world seemed to have no trouble figuring it out. It's only the left that pretends that he did it because he was psychologically disturbed or something.

Either Mrs. Trooprally caught Lurker Bill in the worlds biggest yawn or he was practicing his opera singing
Poor Bill, we love ya!
This man needs a third arm
Mr Trooprally does pretty well holding what must be a 15 foot high flagpole and holding a sign, but RonG outdoes us all with two signs and a flag!

From Sterling VA, no less, right in my backyard!
As all of you know we won a smashing victory November 3 in Virginia with the election of Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling, and Ken Cuccinelli, as well as many good conservative GOP delegates to the statehouse. This despite the attempts of the Washington Compost to smear McDonnell and Cuccinelli. The aforementioned two FReepers as well as myself helped a bit on the campaigns, and were glad to see our efforts so rewarded.
So take that, Obama!
What It's All About
Although we have a great time chatting amongst each other and waving at the motorists, the entire event is for and about the troops. The highlight of the evening is when the bus or busses of wounded warriors and their families come back to the hospital from their night out.
Come join us every Friday night between the hours of 6:30pm to approx 9:30pm.

Code Pink was still down the block, though they knew CBS was there. Bruce drives right by them to get to the “way down the block” location.
We had FReepers on all four corners so no matter how they panned Walter Reed we were there in the back ground supporting the troops.
[Mr] T
Well, that’s a relief. You won’t have to be out in the cold for so long. I guess we could also pray for more globull warming.
Another good chuckle from you. Thanks
