'Force will determine Jerusalem's fate'

Following a day of clashes between security forces and Arab rioters in Jerusalem, Damascus-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal on Sunday evening stated that the fate of the capital would be determined by force, not negotiations.

"The fate of Jerusalem will be determined only by confrontation and not by the negotiating tables," Mashaal said in a speech, according to Channel 10.

"The Israelis want to divide al-Aqsa Mosque, and this is not all. They want to hold their religious ceremonies in the mosque … in preparation for demolishing it and building their temple there," he reportedly said.

Israel is interested in handling the Jerusalem issue unilaterally so that it is not included in negotiations with the Palestinians, Masha'al claimed.

"Jerusalem is all of Jerusalem, not only [the east Jerusalem neighborhood of] Abu-Dis. The Arabs and Muslims are [the city's] residents, and the Zionists have no claim over it," he said.

"I call for angry protests in Palestine and in the Arab world. Today, protests began in [the] Gaza [Strip], and we hope they will spread to the West Bank. It is important for there to be a united Palestinian position. We must send a message to the world: In light of the settlements and actions in Jerusalem, there are no negotiations and we must rethink our steps," the Hamas leader concluded.

Also on Sunday evening, Jordan warned Israel against "provocative behavior" in the city, saying continued violence could "derail all opportunities of peace and stability in the region."

"Any new provocative attempts by Israeli troops and Jewish extremists such as what happened today in the shrine's compound represents a flagrant violation of international law and conventions and sets the stage for more tension and acts of violence," Jordanian Minister for Media Affairs and Communication Nabil Sharif was quoted by the UAE-based Khaleej Times as saying in a statement.

"Jordan, out of its historical responsibilities in being the custodian of the holy places in Jerusalem, is extremely worried about what is taking place and warns against going ahead with this provocative behavior on the part of Israeli troops," he reportedly added.

According to the report, Sharif urged "an immediate end to such dangerous practices which threaten to derail all opportunities of peace and stability in the region".

Nine police officers were lightly injured and 21 rioters arrested, during clashes that broke out between Arabs and police on the Temple Mount, in the alleyways of the Old City's Muslim Quarter and east Jerusalem in a fresh round of violence that threatened to keep already-heightened tensions in the capital simmering.

A female Australian journalist was also injured during Sunday's unrest when she was struck in the head with a rock, apparently after being caught between rioters and security forces at an entrance to the Temple Mount in the Old City's Muslim Quarter. She was treated at the scene.

Armageddon.

Islam has no right to anything in Israel and especially not in Jerusalem. They made up the story about Jerusalem so that they could contaminate it with their filth.

Incredible provocation on the part of Israel at this time.

"Sunday's disturbances were rooted in calls from Muslim leaders for their followers to protect the Islamic sites from what they said were Israeli plots to damage them or let Jews pray in the compound. There was no evidence to support either claim." AP

You were saying?

I find myself in the uncomfortable position of agreeing with the old goat buggerer. It WILL be decided by force, and Mashaal's side isn't going to like the outcome. Not one bit.

the Zionists have no claim over it," he said.

Dude, the Jews BUILT Jerusalem.

The Quran never even mentions Jerusalem by name. Muslims believe Muhammad was carried there by a mythical winged creature called the 'baraq' and was assumed into heaven, after praying at the spot where the Dome of the Rock is built. Their percieved claim over a city where their 'prophet' never stood is based on an event that never happened. Islam is such a ridiculous "religion."

I’m wondering what there is in Mashaal’s statement that would lead Obama, Clinton, George Mitchell or for that matter BJC, George Dubya & the State Dept in Heaven knows how many administrations to conclude that there is any possibility for peace in the ME?

I’m glad to see the last sentence above.

Indeed.

The threshing floor on Mt Moriah was offered to King David for FREE for use as the Temple Mount. King David, however, not wanting to take it for nothing away from its original owner, paid a handsome sum and recorded the deed in the chronicles of his kingdom which later became part of the Canon of Jewish Scripture, and after that, part of the Christian “Old Testament” as well. This same procedure occured in Hebron with Abraham, as he legally purchased and recorded the deed for the Cave of Machpelah as a final resting place for him and his family. I have been to BOTH DEEDED PROPERTIES. BOTH have been usurped by mosques. In Hebron, the mosques contains the actual GRAVES of Abraham, his wife Sarah, Isaac (NOT ISHMAEL!!) and Rebekkah, Leah, and her husband Jacob, who was renamed ISRAEL! It is very hard to deny that the mosque is squatting on someone else’s PROPERTY!

As far as I know, those documents have never been rescinded. LOL

No, Muslim moron, Jerusalem’s fate is determined by Almighty God (not your pagan moon-god). And Jerusalem’s fate is to become the capital of the world
when Messiah returns in power and glory.

More proof that Islam is the Faith of Hate and the Cult of Insanity.

And we have a large number of anti-Semites here in the USA who support IslamoFascism

Well here's a "heads-up", Mashaal lies continuously and effortlessly. There isn't a truth in anything he says. If ever there was an animal that deserved a Stinger missile up his Suez Canal, it is this dirtbag.

The "Palestinian" fraud, is just that, a lie propagated by the Moslem world, and uttered so many times that it is now accepted as fact by the international community.

The acceptance of a "Palestinian" people with a "right" to areas of the West Bank or Gaza, is the ultimate manifestation of Jew hatred. This has never been an Israeli/ Palestinian problem. This is Jew hatred in all it's ugliness.
