One of the enduring lies about illegal aliens is that they do the jobs Americans won’t do. This lie is designed to fool people into believing illegals are just harmless gardeners or drywall hangers who only want to work and fill a need in the labor market that would otherwise go wanting.
Here’s some truth
A recent USA Today article outlined the realities of our sorry employment situation and why efforts to find and deport illegal aliens are a very valuable job protecting step that has to be repeated again and again.
It cites a Vanderbilt University study on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids on workplaces that are notoriously overwhelmingly staffed by illegal aliens concluding they are very beneficial for local legal aliens and native born Americans.
An ICE raid at Swift Meats plant was a case in point. The plant’s illegals were replaced by hundreds of both native Whites and legal Hispanics.
In North Carolina a plant was raided recently. Before the raid its employees were 80% Hispanic illegals now 70% of its workers are African American citizens enjoying good pay and benefits.
A Center for Immigration Studies paper “Jobs Americans Don’t do?” continues the story of how the media and the Democrats distort the truth about the impact of illegal aliens on our workforce.
There are 93 listed occupations with 20% or more of their workers who are immigrants, but more than 23 million native born American citizens work in those occupations. In these “high immigrant” occupations 57% of the American workers have low education levels. Certainly that percentage could be higher were it not for illegals taking America jobs.
The very high unemployment rate (52%) among young people under 24 Blacks and legal Hispanics could be ameliorated with more ICE raids.

If they’re “undocumented” then you can pay them whatever you want without any benefits. It’s a nice gravy train for the employer of illegals and they definitely got the politicians on their side.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way. Undoubtedly what you say is mostly true. Also, undoubtedly, unless you went to extraordinary lengths to assure that you weren't hiring 'illegals' some part of those 'immigrants' you hired were 'illegal'.
While they may have worked long and hard for you, without complaining, etc., they were also infesting this country with a familial infrastructure that is highly adept at 'milking the cow'. The 'cow' in this case being us - you and me, and every other poor sonofabitch real taxpayer.
They've overrun our schools, inflated their cost; they've overrun our hospitals, inflated their cost and reduce our emergency responsiveness; they've overrun all of our government largesse programs, inflated their cost and consequently raising our taxes.
With that in mind, I just do not buy the 'immigrants [read illegals] work hard' argument.
Yep, it is great for business. You pay low wages to cheap exploitable labor and the costs are subsidized by the taxpayer who must pay for schools, health care, crime, etc. Great for the bottom line, terrible for the country.

I hear from some friends..Rat and GOP..that blacks just won’t work and their area what collapse without the illegal immigrants who work hard for little money. Funny, when I was growing up blacks were doing many of those jobs and earning a living. But, relatively speaking they were earning more money then. I just don’t believe that our blacks and other disadvantaged people won’t work hard.
Being retired, the wife and I used to volunteer at the local Salvation Army, packing food boxes, etc. When time came to hand them out, all we saw were Mexicans. We quit. The wife volunteered for some womens' help outfit and quit because all that were showing up were pregnant "fatherless" 18-year-old Mexicans. We tried the local food bank - same result. Hardly any white or any other color but tan, mostly speaking no English. Same old story at the ERs as other have said. I wrote earlier about being a reading tutor at a Middle Grade school and ran into kids whose fathers wouldn't let them speak or read English at home as "Spanish is your heritage." The Christmas tree "wish-list" at the local Wal-Mart had a good 90% Hispanic names.

You agree that the government and the media have been lying to you but actually they’ve been lying much more than you know, you only suspect some of this to be true.
Start with an open mind and watch this video, this is the biggest lie they’ve ever told and so far they’ve gotten away with it. Even with astronomical odds that what I show in this video is true, Americans typically roll their eyes back and say “no way.” That proves the average American can no longer think, they have to have the MSM tell them what is OK.

At the risk of being zonked for being racist, the only way that blacks are disadvantaged in this day and age is if they choose to be. They have the advantage of program after program that avails them of advantages and moves them to the head of the line to receive assistance that people with white skin do not receive. It is their own choice to eschew education and opportunity and then whine about their “condition”.
As to the effects of uncontrolled immigration, illegal or not, the point being missed there again is that these immigrants are not here to assimilate our national culture. They are here to plunder our wealth and demand that we accommodate their demands.

I have heard that many of the Latinsa working in Dallas and Houston topless bars are actually female illegal aliens, too, tarather than US-born. Anyone have any idea if this might be true? Is lap-dancing a job American ladies won’t do, now, too?

Large Business and a lot of Republicans are also complicate in this.
I’d say that if Americans aren’t willing to do jobs that are done by illegals - those jobs aren’t worth doing and should be eliminated.

I would add that illegal aliens not only mow laws and hang dry wall, but include visa overstays that complete in the IT, Medical, and various science fields with US workers. It is disgustingly easy to do.
Yep, and many of these visa overstays are allowed to change status and stay here permanently.
Do you remember a couple of different newspaper articles posted here after Katrina. They were interviews with people helping men displaced by Katrina get work. The men were a mix of black and white, a higher percent were black. An order came in for men to work clean-up; I can’t image how dirty and nasty that work was.
At any rate, they gassed up their cars, went down and worked until the busloads of illegal Mexicans came. They were then summarily fired. Cheap labor had arrived!

This is true — I go to New Orleans frequently, and there’s a huge influx of Central Ameriacns and a lot of the Black population is gone.
