Obamacare Meltdown

The revelation last week that a majority of Americans may actually disagree with the President was something for which his team was clearly not prepared. Their attempt to marginalize citizens across the country who dared to speak out against a government-takeover of health care is shameful, arrogant, and desperately sad.

With the American people growing increasingly unhappy with the President’s health care plan, Democrats in Congress are working feverishly to cast those who are concerned as radical props to the special interests. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in a sign of bold leadership, last week told reporters that protests of government-run health care were “phony” and “staged.” He stepped up to a microphone holding a piece of artificial sod and declared that the nationwide dissent was but a marketing ploy, just “Astroturf.” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs called the movement “manufactured.”

Today I had to chuckle, I was stopped at a traffic light, a big mobile dog grooming van pulls up next to me and is honking and yelling to me. I thought there was something wrong with my car, rolled down the window and the dog groomers loved my Don’t Tread On Me bumper sticker and said “We have to fight back”. Now how random is that? I’ve been seeing those stickers and flags more and more.

No, it’s not a separate issue; that’s my entire point. Yes we all dislike the Dems and know how they’re screwing us over. But, so many here say just what you did-oh the GOP isn’t great either but they’re “less evil” than the Dems so we’ll support them and hope that later we can get them more conservative.

You are rewarding them for less-bad behavior, but it’s still a reward. Until you remove the reward, you are an enabler of the bad behavior.

The GOP deserves NO support until the party and the leadership have rock-solid, abiding conservative views. Do you see the GOP putting someone like Pence or McCotter in a leadership position ? No, so why support the squishy middle - all you get are revolting compromises with Dems.

You start local. Affect the elections you can, and work from there. Look, the tea parties started small and have grown, and they had no media support in the beginning.

>>So who cares about the GOP and why they shouldn’t get the blame ?<<

Maybe because they’re not.

I’m perfectly okay with blasting them when they are wrong.
I’m not going to blast them when they are not.

I have to give credit to Backhoe!

I’m going to find a way to print it and have it as my sign for the Teaparty!

“Your approch is self defeating. I’m beginning to wonder who’s side someone is on when they post something like this.”

I’m with you. Great post.

Stop putting words in my mouth and the mouths of other people. I never, not once, said that in my post. What I said was "Sure, we need to get the RINO Republicans out as well as the Democrats so we can return to constitutional government. But that's a separate issue beyond what netmilsmom was addressing." That's nothing like what you claim I said. Do not, ever, misquote me.

What happens in this current Congress IS, I repeat IS, a separate issue from voting them out in 2010. If you can't understand that, then that's your problem. And that's what netmilsmom and I have been addressing. Get a clue!
