'Shut up Lou Dobbs' campaign hits stride
WorldNetDaily ^ | July 24, 2009 | Bob Unruh

He already believes President Obama is a U.S. citizen, and all he wants is for him to produce a copy of his birth certificate, but even that request has generated a full-scale attack on CNN anchor Lou Dobbs.

According to the Los Angeles Times, CNN President Jon Klein told staffers of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" the issue of the legitimacy of President Obama's birth certificate – a topic Dobbs has discussed on the air – is a "dead" story.

The report said Klein wrote that CNN researchers found Hawaiian records were discarded in 2001 when the state's records system went electronic. Therefore, the report said, Obama's original long-form birth certificate no longer exists, and a computer-generated abbreviated version that has been promoted on the Internet is the official record.

"It seems to definitively answer the question," Klein's e-mail said, according to the newspaper. "Since the show's mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite. And then it seems this story is dead – because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef."

I was under the impression that the Governor of Hawaii was on record as saying she had seen the original certificate and its locked in a vault. Only approval by Obama can release it. But then ..... I havent been keeping up with this story.

She said that she sealed any records. Anything more, I cannot comment on.

I cannot find the links.

Bullsh!t -- Ain't no chance a state is going to discard something as important and sensitive as birth certificates.

If it were true, someone from the State of Hawaii would have dropped that little bon mot before this.

That is more bovine scatology than I am able to fathom. Even if they did get rid of the paper copies of the most vital records the state can possess (which they didn't), would they also have deleted the attending physician, the hospital, occupation and other info on birth certs?

This is starting to torque my tamales. Especially the mindless, needless reluctance of the MSM to get down to cases with it.

No way, JJ!

No bureaucracy discards hard copies ever. They are archived somewhere.

If you're hooked up with internet audio, Lou Dobbs comes on right after Rush.

Wishful thinking CNN.

§338-16 (c) Such evidence shall be kept in a special permanent file.

§338-21 (b) The evidence upon which the new original certificate is made, and the superseded original certificate shall be sealed and filed and may be opened only upon order of a court of record.

There's also a long-form at:
-- the US Social Security Administration (Centralized records after 1972)
-- US State Dept (check with those who broke into it in March 2008)
-- INTERPOL (kept for later blackmail)
-- the Indonesian US Embassy (check with John Tingle Jr [and his replacement] at the US Consulate office)
-- etc

There's always an archive -- ALWAYS.

I think that this just might backfire in the same way the "silence Rush" campaign backfired a few months ago...

“...all he wants is for him to produce a copy of his birth certificate, but even that request has generated a full-scale attack on CNN anchor Lou Dobbs.”

Well this is Lou Dobbs ‘teachable’ moment isn’t it? He’s been in bed with a Communist organization who has by their own admission, played with facts and news stories. I hope they attack him until he breaks....not because I don’t like him (never watch him) but because he probably hasn’t experienced the absolutely ugly side of ‘liberals’.

A couple of observations.

Many libraries, some thirty-odd years ago, began to replace their physical card catalogs with computerized card catalogs. In many cases the original cards (and the beautiful cabinets which contained them) were destroyed.

Regardless of what Hawai'i decided to do about its health records in 2001, people have "long forms" from before then, as we have seen displayed here.

I think the timing of the announcement about the new 2001 policy is very odd.
