I’m a reasonably conservative old geezer, but I don’t get carried away with it.
Think of it this way: The eagle is a magnificent bird - in flight : less magnificent when on the ground.
If you clip either of the eagle’s wings (right or left),the bird isn’t going to be able to do much but hop around awkwardly.
Some politicians - right or left - would like nothing better than to clip one of our wings , so we’ll be easier to control.
Maybe some want it to be like that-but that’s not for me.
Two healthy wings, working together can help us soar.

Yep. For many years. Grew up in Pine Bush, went to OCCC in Middletown, worked summers on the “Weary Erie”, or on a farm, or - one summer- washing dishes up in Cragsmoor.
Do you realize that you cannot, in this day of partisanship, post here and on liberal sites? You may want to but it won’t work.
Why not ? Both whine incessantly about how ill-treated they are by the opposition , and both are apt to go off on wild tangents, based on insufficient information.
Both have self-appointed “thought police” who think everyone should move in lockstep with them.
I post very little on either type of site. Generally, I just try to read the variant viewpoints, and see what rings true. (It’s often 2 parts of this and 2 parts of that,etc.)
