I watched the video several times. Had the wife watch carefully. She isn’t going anywhere. Colonel Obama is about set to get that moose back in his shorts.

Are we supposed to pretend that this was anything other than a rambling, disjointed speech? The decision itself was questionable enough- she needed to provide a very rational and clear explanation for what is a very unusual decision. She didn’t do it- just the opposite.

The Dem party will rue the day that hounded out of office by frivolous ethic complaints.

Again they overreached and once she is free from legal ramifications of being Governor, all hells going brake loose for them.

It is evident Sarah Palin has much bigger plans.

Pay back is going be a bitch for slandering her family

I noticed you’re a “mittfan”. Actually I don’t mind Mitt either; but I’m surprised you’re still around after all the heat you must be taking on this board. mitt is not in sarah’s league though.....you wanna see turnout? if she runs in 2012 you’ll see it!

you are right she should have followed the obama method, teleprompter and a host of speechwriters.

This woman is going to surprise you.

What is the point of this picture below?... Mainly to SEND a message to the GOP. We will not vote for sleazy, duplicitous, political candidates like the last one: Mr. John McCain. We always knew this was a weasel-traitor-of the left, pretending to be a 'conservative.' (at least on the campaign trail). Now that the election is over, his other weasel (smile), his CAMPAIGN MANAGER!!!:STEVE SCHMIDT is showing his TRUE colors. And of course, sleazy-traitor-lefty McCain knew NOTHING about his points of view, right?... Riiiiight!.... Many of us SOCIAL-CONSERVATIVES did not vote for McCain and will not for these types again. So, let that be a warning to the GOP.

As to Palin... I'm glad for her, she will finally get some rest... having BOTH LEFTs (The DemoCrapps and Republican-LEFT) against her can get anyone exhausted and she has to think - as she SHOULD - of her family first. Besides, she RAISE THE BAR already for the GOP candidates to come... just like her, we want authentic decent people, younger, fresher and C-L-E-A-N for a change :). Good luck Palin, rest and be back honey! :)

Keep trying to breathe life into old plastic Mitt. It’s quite a challenge you have.

Yes, I think Mitt is our best choice- I actually feel even more strongly about it now than I did in the last election, where I also liked Fred Thompson.

I have nothing against Sarah Palin, but she wasn’t a serious threat to get the Republican nomination before today, and she’s certainly not a serious threat now. We just got finished with an election in which well over half of Americans think she was a drag on the ticket as a VP candidate.

It’s complete silliness to think that a party as serious and pragmatic as the Republican party would nominate her as president. But she’s harmless enough- if you enjoy seeing her on tv more power to you. Just don’t tell me that the rambling speech she gave today about being a point guard running against a full court press was any kind of quality performance.

I got $10 that says you live in a New England state :)

...you just don’t get it. She connects with people. Mitt doesn’t. I agree the general election will be a challenge, but the primaries will be a blow out.

Romney couldn’t even beat Huckabee or Mccain in IA and NH, two weak candidates. There’s no way he’ll beat Sarah in those states.

I really think we’re just comforting ourselves with the thought that she’ll be back. She might not, although it is clear to me that she does believe that she, like anybody else, has a contribution to make to this Republic. I hope she’s not so humble as to think that hers is no different than mine or yours.

However, I did like the way she talked about *real* climate change in addressing how the political environment has changed. I will miss her terribly. I feel positively mournful.

This is a serious question. It might sound snarky, but I assure you, I’m asking it all seriousness. I heard very rational and principled thought behind her decision. Why do you say that she did just the opposite of rational and clear?
