I’m guessing Nan is trying to give maximum political cover to Dems in contested seats and pass it with as small a majority as possible.

C-SPAN 1 is the House. Rep Arthur Davis, a black Democrat Congressman is speaking AGAINST Cap & Trade. Although he’s actually saying it’s the “wrong time”, which means he might vote for it later.

Just called KIRK office. He may be finished reading the da**ed thing, but still has not decided...perhaps if he’d spent less time at the luau....unbelievable!!! Why any GOP would vote for this is just amazing to me.

You’re very welcome. I used it once before and didn’t “catch” any malware, etc. ...so I guess it’s safe.

I agree, the Dems are asking for recorded votes on Repub admendments to a previous bill. The Repubs are withdrawing their requests, but the Dems want the vote as a delaying tactic. They must not have all their ducks in a row.

>Oathkeepers is nice, but all they seem to talk about is if they are asked to enforce gun control against the populace or some other extremely egregious form of control on the US citizenry they will not follow through.

Indeed, I would favor a more proactive approach.

A request:

I’ve seen the list of those who are on the fence about this bill. Is there a list showing those who are solidly for or against this bill?

I would say it’d the same trend fueling the “ammunition bubble”... and it could very much lead to interesting times.

+1.

As a side note, is it possible to bump this thread in the sidebar? The debate has just started, will go for several more hours.

Thanks for any help!

Boucher talking right now, paraphrased:

“The Supreme Court ruled that CO2 is a pollutant, and it now must be regulated by the EPA.”

OK, folks...you are now all officially polluters, by virtue of breathing!

Too surreal for words...

GOP Rep. Pence blasts “embarrassingly short” debate on behemoth bill. Says there are reports that there are new trade restriction in the bill, but who knows. No has read the bill. . .

Is there a legal way Americans can charge Congress and maybe get this to the Supreme Court? What I mean is that if it's evident that our elected representatives are passing legislation that they have admitted they do not have time to read, is there a legal way to repeal that legislation through the courts with the idea being that they did not truly represent the American people.

I agree, I’d like to see a little less talk and a lot more action.

We do need leaders, but it seems like everyone is too busy trying to live within constraints placed on them rather than trying to break the chains of oppression/repression.
