Democrats in Congress Call for Investigation of Cheney’s Role in Swine Flu Epidemic

WASHINGTON - As more swine flu cases cropped up around the world overnight, Democratic leaders in Congress called for a bi-partisan commission to investigate former Vice President Cheney’s role in the epidemic.

Senator Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, explained: “We don’t have any evidence just yet of a connection between Cheney and the epidemic, but doesn’t this sound like the sort of thing that little weasel would be involved in?”

President Obama addressed the nation about the sudden epidemic. “As with every other bad thing that has happened, and that will happen at any time during my administration, we inherited this problem from my predecessor.”

Mr. Obama explained that there was only one solution to eradicating swine flu: trillions of dollars of additional government spending in education and health reform. The president noted that he previously targeted billions of dollars for education and health reform to end the recession, and that it was just “a happy coincidence” that he singled out education and health reform as key planks in his political platform during last year’s presidential campaign, long before either the recession or the swine flu epidemic.

“Look, it’s just fortuity that the spending needed to wipe out swine flu and the recession — and really whatever else might come down the pike — happens to match my own political agenda,” the President said.

Nothing surprises me these days.

Too close to truth to be not funny.

Hey, It’s been cloudy here for days. Think Rove is messing around with his weather machine?

Sometimes I think our satire is where they get their ideas from.

Did he get to keep that after he left the White House? Man, that's scary! :)

Democrats strain their brains figuring out whether each new problem is Bush’s Fault or Cheney’s Fault.

Funniest thing about this, is that it could be true and I would not be amazed. The secret to true satire

Hah! The way it starts out with Leaky Leahy’s gem makes it believable. How he keeps being reelected is a mystery even in VT, there surely must be some honest people there.

“satire this week, reality next week”

Sadly, I just posted a comment that said essentially the same thing. The ‘Bama presidency, with it’s stooges in the MSM, are so encouraged by what they’ve gotten the public to swallow that absolutely nothing is so preposterous that it can’t be promoted. When you can persuade a significant number of people that your oppostion is responsible for the weather, who’s to say they’re wrong?
