A keynote speaker at the upcoming International Conference on Climate Change says carbon dioxide would have to be a miracle compound in order to have any significant global climate impact.
John Coleman has more than 50 years' experience forecasting the weather. He is also one of the 70+ featured scientists who will be attending the 2009 International Conference on Climate Change in New York City March 8-10. As the Obama administration mulls carbon cap-and-trade, Coleman had this to say about CO2.
"CO2? It's a great positive," he states. "Without carbon dioxide in the atmosphere we'd all die because everything we eat would die."
Is it possible that the morons who believe the CO2 myth might be confusing it with carbon MONoxide? Could it be a mistake THAT simple?
naw...that would be too simple.
The issue is that people allow their ideology to trump all reason and common sense.
The lack of carbon dioxide is a limiting factor to plant growth.
In a greenhouse, CO2 is often ADDED to the air to get better flowers, and growth.
The more CO2 available to plants, the more O2 is produced as a byproduct.

Yes. If there are millions of moron voters who can name the last 5 American Idol winners and all the runners-up, but who don't know which party runs Congress, there surely are more who think that "DIoxidE" is deadly, because it makes the planet "die".
I read a report that showed that the percentage of CO2 that is due to man’s use of fossil fuels is about 3%. The rest of the increase is due to release from the ocean as a result of warming of the water due to temperature variation that is problably from solar variations that are observed as a decline in sun spot activity.
And don't forget, "You can't have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent."
According to Steve Jones (Darwin’s Chost, page 231): “five hundree million years ago the air had twenty times as much carbon dioxide as it contains now.”

This is composition of air in percent by volume, at sea level at 15°C and 101325 Pa.
Nitrogen — N2 — 78.084%
Oxygen — O2 — 20.9476%
Argon — Ar — 0.934%
Carbon Dioxide — CO2 — 0.0314%
That means that air of 500 million years ago contained around 0.628% of CO2.
No CO2, no plants. We all die.
There’s only between 0.01-0.04% CO2 in the atmosphere now.
CO is not a greenhouse gas either.
Venus is a greenhouse planet, but has no CO2 in it’s atmosphere.
Mars’ atmosphere is 95% CO2. It’s average temperature is lower than earth’s south pole in winter.
3% since when, yesterday, last year, 1,000,000 years ago?
It does make a difference you know.
Doesn’t matter. SCOTUS has ruled.
When they start passing around the stories of the illegals killing themselves by usiing their outdoor grills in their cars; we will know which Carbon it is.
This is complete common sense, therefore the political class will ignore it.
A tax by any other name is still a tax.

So-called (and misnamed) fossil fuels are rendered to -mostly- water and CO2 when burned.
Since it is the by-product of the *evil* fossil fuel, it MUST be a pollutant.
We’re doomed.
Next they’ll want to ban Sodium Chloride and Dihydrogen Monoxide.
