Airline shutdown (vanity)

Vanity - sitting on the tarmac on a USAirways flight from Houston. Pilot announced a "system-wide hard shut down." Anyone know what's up?

Weird thing is my wife was watching the website and it indicated we had taken off.

All US Airways flights are controlled from Pittsburgh. No flight can depart without clearance from there, so if computers are down in PIT, no go.

Well, all they have to do is keep the planes on the ground and stand down the troops for six days while they build a new firewall that the CIP device can't get through.

Then our buddy Squidpup will be off that plane in less than a week!!!!!

Nope,it is touch screen and is Verizon only.Really nice keypad and it turns with you.Go to youtube and type it in and you will see a demo.

I worked at a telecom company back in the 80s. One of the admin assistants in our circuit engineering department was gay. He sued Southwest Airlines because they wouldn't hire him since they only hired women. He thought that the would look cute in the short skirts that were the "uniform" for the Southwest Airline stews.

He had a wedding picture on his desk and he sure looked pretty in the bridal gown! He won his case but decided to just take the money 'cause he had caught this "disease" and it was some kinda virus. It was AIDS and we all attended his funeral. He did break the gender barrier at the airlines but.....

Actually, I will say a prayer for you, that this situation resolves itself quickly and there will remain calm hearts and minds
