I was in high school during Carter...ohhh, baby, don’t get me started.
At least, I gots skills, as I tell my kids. We’ll be alright. Not great, but alright. I also remind them to pay attention and remember these years coming ahead...and never let it happen again when they are of voting age!
Go figure, at 20 degrees and nary a porta-John in sight.
We have all the ingredients for The Perfect Storm
1. The metros were jammed at 3:30AM
2. There aren’t enough bathroom facilities on the Mall
3. The crowd, being Democrats, is a bit more prone to bad behavior, unfriendly to law enforcement and more expressive.
4. DC is known for gang activity and they tend to set each other off.
Is it just me or do I feel that the way of life that I have come to appreciate living in this country will officially be dead in ~2 hours and 45 minutes?
I just feel, like so totally amazed that a black man can be president! (Did I mention that I'm so not racist! In fact, my Obama button is pretty much proof. So even though the main reason I'm so excited about today is totally based on race, still, somehow, that makes me not a racist.)
And what's more, it's cool to wave an American flag! I have a little one on my desk here at Greenpeace, and I'm proud of it because somehow it all means something different than it ever did before. I have to admit, it still feels weird, after being so repulsed by it all these years, but I like it!
I'm just so excited for the hope and change! Then I can be liberated to follow rainbows and make my dreams come true! And the government can provide for me, just like a mother does for her children!

Sorry, I just dont have the stomach for it. But thanks for taking one for the team. I have to go to work today for a meeting on a day off. May as well get used to it and I now have to take care of the 52% of the country that voted themselves my dependent.

I swear, I already feel like I've been thru his administration already! Quite frankly, I'm exhausted. (and not in a Lili Von Schtupp kinda way.)
It is expected in the next few months, in the form of (take your pick), a) forced military incident/confrontation on the DMZ against South Korea, b) additional nuclear weapons blast test in North Korea, c) launch of long range missile over the Sea of Japan and/or into the Pacific Ocean (or perhaps a satellite launch).
Oh, change we can believe in. Yes We Can. We're Gonna Change the World.
This is not breaking news, but it is good, solid political and military analysis in my opinion.
Yeah me too. And it has nothing to do with outer and everything to do with the inner, that being the content of his character. I just don’t trust him.
And I wish that we had someone who was more balanced. I’m not saying we could expect a Clarence Thomas or Sowell. Certainly to expect a giant is asking too much.
But something closer would have been nice.
Even mlb.com (major league baseball) is having live coverage. I'm afraid to pop in a DVD for fear it will have 0bama coverage.
