South Beltway Report: Huntington Metro Station parking is packed. Cars are starting to look for parking on side streets. This morning is normally when our trash is picked up but that is postponed until tomorrow. However most of our neighbors apparently do not know about signing up for Fairfax Co alerts and did not get the message - almost everyone but us has trash and recycling out which seriously reduced street parking - HA-HA!

There is a steady stream of Metro busses in and out of the station and a steady trickle of people in warm clothes, carrying little with them (no backpacks or strollers like for other Mall events) heading to the station from the neighborhood.

During the official coronation I'm headed out for a 5 mile run. Will report back in if I see anything interesting.
