CBS ^ | Jan. 16, 2009 | Kevin Hechtkopf

Posted on 01/17/2009 12:31:45 AM PST by FocusNexus

President-elect Obama is coming into office with astonishingly high expectations. Twenty-eight percent say they think Mr. Obama will be a very good president and 40 percent think he will be a good president, according to the poll. Twenty percent say he will be an average president and four percent say he will be a poor president.

Nine in 10 Democrats expect Mr. Obama to be a good president, including 48 percent who think he will be a "very good" one. Republicans are less hopeful, but 38 percent still say they think Mr. Obama will be a good president.

This is what I call beyond belief!

Only 4% of Americans have any perceptive abilities. (4% say he will be a poor president).

And to add insult to injury, 38% of the Republicans think he will be a good president!

Is there something in the water?

Would it be possible that people have high expectations for Obama because his campaign was built upon making impossible promises? If people expect much from him they got the idea from him.

I have high expectations from the Affirmative Action President, President-for-Life Obama, too. I expect him to be high frequently in office.

Obama the jackass is going to run up a $1.7 trillion deficit his first year! 100% of Americans should be saying that is total crap!

If he and his bunch don’t completely destroy the Republic and leave something to salvage then I will consider him a success.I hope my expectations aren’t to high considering the poll results.

No one should assume CBS can take or present a poll honestly. But even if 40% of Americans think Obama will be a poor president, it means that most Americans don’t get it, and they probably never will get it, even if Obama shoots someone on the White House lawn. In that case, the media would just make up reasons why the victim needed to die.

... and four percent say he will be a poor president.

I think that means we're in the top 4% here!

A lot of people think it isn’t “nice” to have low expectations of an incoming President. Or they just don’t like to face reality. Or they are morons.

Government schools were created to create morons, so there’s one government program that’s a smashing success.

[Is there something in the water?]

I have thought for years that the real reason to put fluoride in public water supplies is that it turns people into socialist losers who are dependent on the government for their way of life.

I’m not sure that I’m joking about this. Look at the Red vs. Blue areas of the country.

How many Freepers drink well water? I have since 1981.

I believe the numbers are real. Here is why: at FR we believe that since we are surrounded by so many of like mind in the forum, that our principles and espoused beliefs must be present in the main populace as well. After all, there are many FReepers who feels as you and I feel, thus it must translate to some modicum in the population in general.

That is a fallacy!

We are actually a minority, and not just that but ALSO a minority in the Republican party. Think about it ....THEY chose McCain, when on FR he was not even fifth in the internal polls! FReepers are generally Conservatives ....Republicans not necessarily so (my pet name for them is anti-abortion Liberals). The problem is that FReepers, by being surrounded in an encapsulated forum by like minded people (with outlier views mocked, flamed, or Zotted), end up believing the very sane views we have are accepted by the general population. Thing is, they are not accepted.

The same is true for DU as well, and every type of forum be it politics, fishing, guns, cartoons, music ...you name it. Anything in an encapsulated loop ends up appearing mainstream to those in the closed system.

Which is why I believe the polls. The fact that to you and me they seem ridiculous, it means that it MUST make sense to the feeble minds out there. I tried to warn of this before elections, but FReepers would say that 'all their family and friends would never vote for Obama.' Well, family and friends is also a closed system.

Anyways, those polls are true ...generally. What we need to do is ensure Conservatism takes root in the Republican party, and hopefully by next elections we shall have a Reagan comeback.

You are correcet. Calling the poll of the day ‘fake!’ is useless. Wake up people, this is the poll/internet generation here. It’ll be a mix of fake and real from now on.

Right now there is a HUGE left/socialist force in America. We better wake up and realize that this is it for the next 4 years. It’s not ‘defeatist’ and there’s nothing now to fight. The war is lost.

Republicans are hated as spenders and for the rich. Frankly, is it really possible to oppose that? The top-down situation has to be reorganized. By whom? Who knows. I think smaller government ideals can be a popular sentiment after hussein’s takeovers on life fail.

Right now, we have very little to go on though.

Pull your head out of the sand.

Anyone who doubts this should go outside his neighborhood, demographics, or favorite websites and see how widespread and deep the trust in 0bama is, across the country.

A number of prophetic forces have asserted that there’s a . . . . how to put it . . .

I guess a strong ‘Prince and power of the air’ . . .

a strong DEMONIC DELUSION

over the whole land if not the whole planet regarding OThuga.

I think they are right. Quite right.

I don’t have any other way to explain it—even with all his

mass hypnosis via Neueo-Linguistic Programming speech techniques . . . even with the Main Stream Media worshipping at his toe-jam . . .

all that would STILL NOT explain the absolutely

BLIND DELUSIONAL responses and attitudes many even Christians have toward the traitorous hideous duplicitous thug.

I noted to a Christian relative recently that one of OThuga’s main philosophical mentors dedicated his book to satan.

It did NOT matter to the man. Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

This same fellow was ranting at some length with fierce fire in his eyes, with flushed face and agitated angry tones about how I was unloving and demonized to say and pray as I had regarding OThuga. It’s a wonder he didn’t burst a blood vessel.

To be perhaps somewhat fair about this bloke . . . he comes from a similar ATTACHMENT DISORDERED childhood to my own.

This seems to have resulted in his feelings of low self-worth setting him up for a lifetime of frequently being at cross purposes with church leaders who did not allow him what he perceived to be his rightful place near the top of church leadership spouting sometimes nonsense assertions and claims.

As near as I can figure it . . . OThuga and the issues around OThuga have become for this relative yet again . . . another case of the poor bloke having a screamingly desperate need for him to be absolutely right and anyone who disagrees at all to be absolutely and “demonically” wrong.

It was quite sad.

I don’t know how much my relative’s case is indicative of the emotional, psychodynamic and philosophical causes for the clueless perspectives of the millions who are so gahgah over the evil OThuga . . . but it causes me to wonder.

What ARE the buttons that satan pushes so successfully getting sooooooooo many to fall in line to this clearly GROSSLY inferior Pied Piper?

—HIS GROSS UNCONSTITUTIONALITY doesn’t matter to them.
—Homosexuality—in his behavior—in what he supports doesn’t matter to them.

—the mass murder of Christians in Africa—largely as a function of OThuga’s support for his cousin at USA taxpayer expense—doesn’t matter to them.
—His colluding with one of his mentors toward the detailed plan to exterminate 25 million Americans doesn’t matter to them.

—His thugging his way to ‘winning’ his first election by forcing/coercing all the others off the ballot doesn’t matter to them.
—His documented long stream of serious lies doesn’t matter to them.

—His support of stabbing partially born babies in the backs of their brains with sharp instruments until dead doesn’t matter to them.
—His support of a law that would essentially close all Roman Catholic hospitals and make all Roman Catholic health care workers not participating in abortions into criminals doesn’t matter to them.

—His plans to destroy the coal industry don’t matter to them. And we have several coal powered electric plants in our area.
—His gahgah energetic support of satanic globalism doesn’t matter to them.

—His gahgah energetic support of removing guns from the hands of normal citizens doesn’t matter to them.
—His plans to steal money from folks with the initiative and industry to make it and give it to those who’d rather drink and father children by unwed mothers . . . doesn’t matter to them.

—His plan to establish a neighborhood gestapo corps equal in funding and power to the US Defense Dept to help force his Communism on every family and household . . . doesn’t matter to them.
—. . .

—. . .
—. . .

The list could go on and on and on with documented incriminating stuff that would put lots of thuggish corrupt officials behind bars—but not OThuga—the protected, exalted One.

And it doesn’t matter that Shrillery also gobbled at the philosophical feet of satan praising Alinsky.

What matters to them?

Where did they get such willfully blind cluelessness? Did an avalance of it spew up from hell and fall all over the land?

Evidently only licking the toe-jam from between OThuga’s toes!

God have mercy on us all!

It HAS to be a vast heavy duty demonic delusion that half the country has fallen prey to.

I have no other explanation.

If anyone has any other explanation, I’d love to hear it.

Seems to me it’s part of the Biblical Great Delusion of the END TIMES.
