Jan. 7, 2009 -- Stonehenge was built as a dance arena for prehistoric "samba-style" raves, according to a study of the acoustics of the 5,000-year-old stone circle.
Using cutting-edge technology, Rupert Till, an expert in acoustics and music technology at Huddersfield University in northern England, discovered that Stonehenge's megaliths reflect sound perfectly, making the stone circle an ideal setting for listening to repetitive trance rhythms.

Does this prove that we’ve gone back to Neolithic styles of music?
Think Woodstock.
I suspect this is more of a coincidental feature of the stone circle and the music expert is presuming a little too much. How many similar structures do NOT have interesting acoustic properties? Very few, I suspect.
For example, the “whispering” gallery (galley?) in the dome of St. Paul’s in London is well know for it’s strange acoustic properties, but it was not one of the Christopher Wren’s goals when he designed it.

If a Druid falls in a field
Can anyone here here say “Ouch!”?
That’s one of my son’s pictures devolve! I cropped and resized it. Spent a lot of time deciding what to put on it.
I was going to put a dancing couple on top of the top stone. My only good dancing couples that would have looked right were way too many frames, lol.
Would loved to have the dancing moon couple up there.
.
Ah-Haaa! Great photos!
Try a <Table BG
That will cut the filesize way down and it will instantly load
Like I used to do with the pyramid <Table BG graphics
Turn it up to 11!
I considered doing that, but - positioning them exactly where I wanted would have been hard. Even with TP gifs above.
.
I know
Took me a while to figure out use of /s.gif and parameters for up-down and distance from left side of the table
Guesswork before I figured it out from you viewing it on a PC screen
