RUSSIAN ANALYST PREDICTS DECLINE AND BREAKUP OF USA
The Drudge Report ^ | 11-25-2008 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 11/25/2008 6:36:10 AM PST by Virginia Ridgerunner

A leading Russian political analyst has said the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the country is heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.

Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily IZVESTIA published on Monday: "The dollar is not secured by anything. The country's foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse."

(snip)

He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.

He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored several books on information warfare.

1% of Alaska is in private ownership. If Alaska goes back to Russia that 1% would jump to at least 4%, and the resources would be developed as rapidly as possible rather than remain frozen.

Cayce was a fraud, a false prophet. Men cannot foresee the future, except it is given to them. By who? I’ll give you a clue — if even one prediction does not come true exactly as forecast, that prophet’s revelations don’t come from God.

The President or "leader" in 2005 I believe tried desperately to be the next Lincoln and hold the country together but many of their policies drove a larger wedge into the Bill of Rights. The President in 2009 was interested only in keeping his/her power base.

Ok, LOL. This "time traveler" has to be a FReeper......I'm freaking out reading his civil war stuff....

I don’t know how correct this analysis is, but your point about the success of the US only due to ability and diligence is true.

I wouldn’t oppose a resurrection of the Confederate States of America, but without slavery this time. Texas could either join the CSA or become a separate nation, perhaps annexing Arizona and New Mexico to protect them from Mexican irredentism.

The liberal NE could create a separate nation, as could the West Coast. Hawaii could become independent again. And Alsaka could break off into a separate nation, which would please a lot of Alaskans (perhaps including Mr. Palin).

The advantage of this would be more unified governments in each nation and avoid the constant Conservative-Liberal conflicts we experience now. Also, it would be a useful experiment to find out which system (Conservative or Liberal) is most successful.

I hope if it happens we can avoid civil war, it will be chaotic enough without formal warfare.

Breaking the country apart would support competition. Maybe we could see which system works best.

You believe what you want. I’ll believe what I want.

I can’t nor do I want to change your beliefs. I was just stating facts whether you believe them or not. Cayce had many precise accurate predictions including the exact day he would be buried and the year America would enter WWII to name just a couple.
He also cured thousands with his medical diagnoses in his sleep state. Cayce has more documented and transcribed records of his readings on file than any other psychic or seer.

I do believe God gives some people glimpses into his spirituality and our purpose. There have been righteous prophets before and will be again.

I am very aware of Edgar Cayce. Would you have me to believe that he NEVER made a single false prediction? Since you confess a belief in God, then please reread the Old Testament to see how false prophets were distinguished from righteous prophets -- the principle still applies.

Yes his country has already broken up because of bankruptcy and a failed government. We should be paying attention to history repeating itself.

I for one would love to see the Federal government get off our backs. How about Alaska just runs with Capitalism for a while: no income tax, low corporate taxes, unlimited exploitation of natural resources. People would be flocking there.
