I’ve been reading all your comments, and you seem a little fishy to me. This was one of the least religious campaigns I can remember, plus most of the lost seats were moderates. The gay marriage votes passed even in Liberal California.

I’m not a bible thumper, but the evidence seems to show the opposite of what you are saying.

Dat - there are Republicans in this country that don’t espouse half of the far right agenda that is often cast on the board. As a long time registered member and as an American, I don’t have to agree with everyone on the board. To summarize, I am proud of my McCain-Palin vote. I do think that a lot of center-right Republicans did not vote this year because some of their concerns with Sarah. Still the economy factor would have prevented nearly any Republican from winning). Our party is in a state of shock right now and it’s the paranoia and the infighting that will only divide this party further.

I’m so damned glad I escaped the USA under the Clinton years.

Unless AP knows something about absentee or early voting (if they even have it in MO).....

Missouri has absentee voting only, no early voting.

Missouri did not fall to Obama. McCain by nearly 6,000 votes. Absentee ballots not yet counted that I know of.

Missouri, the bellwether, backed the loser. What happened?

That’s good news :) I know it won’t change anything, but it makes me feel better. I believe Sarah delivered Missouri.

My Missouri county voted for McCain over Obama 2 to 1. :-)

(I really wonder just how honest this election was.) :-(

We showed up early (Oct 25th) at the Pettis (MO) county court house and voted absentee for McCain, because we were afraid we might be trapped out of town on November 4th. We weren’t , but we wanted to be sure....Our ballots were filled in by hand, placed in a sealed envelope, and given to the clerk-presumably, they were counted after the 11/04 votes were cast.

Unfortunately I live in Jackson County (Kansas City area) so I knew how my county was going to go.

Yesterday at work one woman was so happy Obama won and she had voted for him. I asked her why she voted for him and her answer was right out of the Kool-Aide Drinkers Handbook.

He’s so handsome (gag), he speaks well, he’s different, he has good ideas, we need change, McCain would be more of Bush. Pure vomit material.

Told her I’d check back with her in six months and see if she feels the same. Can’t afford to get fired so couldn’t tell her what I really felt.

Not only will BHO NEVER be my president-he is a third rate affirmative action thug and a probable beneficiary of election fraud-but I will never regard people who voted for Obama as anything but my enemies.( Yes, I mean that .) Some are "merely" stupid , ignorant, and lazy (they always vote democratic, and so didn't bother to investigate the thug's own words and writings) and others are downright evil (the racial payback voters), but they are all my enemy...because they have (almost certainly) destroyed the USA. Hopefully I am a false prophet yet again-I predicted and truly thought McPalin would win by 3% or so-but between the stated polices of BHO and our (overseas) enemies' reactions to his election.....it ain't looking good.

I always thought it strange that counties in Mo go Johnson Co., Mo...Jackson Co, MO...Johnson Co, KS. I asked a Hi Po once if that caused confusion and he said that yes, they would sometimes have transmission overlap and not be sure just *WHICH* county was being referred to.

My mother voted absentee also because she is getting very frail. Was afraid she wouldn’t be able to go in person.

Didn’t discuss this election with much of my family because they’re almost all libs. They all loved Clinton.

How did a nice person like me end up in a family of libs? :-)

So you're the token right-winger in your Family?

I'm so sorry.

That was probably wise :-D.(it’s at least a little comfort to live in a town that voted overwhelmingly for McPalin, AND to have a family that’s overwhelmingly conservative. I don’t think anyone voted for the fraud, and if they did, they did so surreptitiously.

My father saw McCain on CSPAN in 2002 and wrote him a letter saying he would never vote for him.

My father also grew to dislike Bush before it was fashionable to dislike Bush, because he thought Bush as “kiss ass”.

I miss my father dearly.

it took me a couple days to recover from the BIG dissappointment I have in some of my fellow Americans who voted in a marxist.
