Could be that the MSM is learning that (as the basketball player said, “Republicans buy shoes too.”).
If Palin gets as many viewers as Obama - despite being on 4 fewer networks.
If McCain get MORE viewers than Obama - despite a notoriously bad speaking style.
If US Weekly loses thousands of subscribers ( and we STILL don't know how many really canceled!) and their issue (for last week sells millions of fewer copies ....
When a MSM TV show is forced to scrub two “star” anchors only two months before the biggest night of political influence ever ...
The bottom line just might be sitting below other's feet. And a noose above their heads.
THE BAD:
Okay, first page of article was full of snarky comments. Painted her out as somewhat sneaky and secretive as she didn’t even inform her own family and friends about her pregnancy. Further tried to depict the baby as some sort of sophisticated plan to enhance her public image. Further reinforced this idea by quoting daughter as only realizing Trig had Downs syndrome after he was born. Somehow, Sarah’s working out having the baby at 44 and as a governor was depicted slightly negative. Reporters couldn’t resist being subversive in a subtle way.
THE GOOD:
Second page of article was mostly positive. Leftist talking points on the baby and family have been nuked by NYT. Confirms she had the baby (not daughter), confirms she didn’t do anything to harm baby by traveling (sorry Alan Colmes, your hit piece is dead), confirms she handled entire situation very well as far as having the baby at 44 and as a governor of a state.
In summary, someone up high is realizing the damage they have done to Obama by the mean spirited hit pieces they have run on Sarah’s family, and they are trying to shut the nutroots up to save him from further fallout.
Oh, and Keith Olbermann looked very down and out tonight on the Sunday night football show. Why do they keep him on that show, he adds no value?
We thank God for her, our other two, and everything else we have been blessed with.
After reading the article I’m not sure why it was written. Must have been a slow news day at the Times.
the baby came 1 month early....I worked at my busy hosptial up to the day I gave birth, and some nurses I know leave their shift and go deliver their babies in OB....
evil tripe...and written like what I would expect a liberal college gradutate to write like...
Here is the reply to the article that I posted in response to the article about MRS Palin:
September 8th, 2008 2:28 amSo, you state, “She went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that her son Trigs arrival would not hurt her work. “
Gee, I would have thought that a “progressive” paper such as yours would cheer that a woman such as Mrs. Palin could “bring home the bacon” and “fry it up in the pan”.
Her “struggle” upon learning that her son had Down’s Syndrome I’m sure gave her some pause. She had the sense to trust that God had plans for her and her son perhaps not of her choosing and that she had the grace in her heart to say “Not my will, but thine will be done” means a lot to me and hundreds of thousands of us in the heartland of America.
I’ve been through some of the same struggles that she is now facing in my family personally and I admire her dedication to her family, her commitment to the people of Alaska and bravery in stepping out into the storm of media attention that, as this article proves, will try to lessen her as a woman and mother.
All I have to say is “Go Sarah” and may God greatly bless your family as you, as each of us, struggle with this precious life.

I mean, thats a story book, man."
(with apology to Sen. Biden over this little "plagiarism").
I did not think this was a hit piece...not a VALENTINE..but far from a hit piece.
Ver-r-r-r-y.... IN-ter-est-innnnnng....
Wonderful! I’ll continue to pray.
You summed up the NY Times article on Trig and Palin very nicely.
That quote is from this article in today's Wall Street Journal. I think it's a variable thing, depending on
I hope people will be alerted NOT to give money to March of Dimes for research on this topic, but rather give to pro-life alternative research organizations like The Michael Fund.

There are a few snide slants and comments here and there, but if you read the whole article you can’t HELP but sympathize with her and think she’s a great lady!
Unless you are a dedicated leftist who automatically thinks that Christians are evil and special needs babies should always be killed.
But most people, thank God, don’t think that way.
That’s why I posted the link to the other one (additional discussion) and not the other way around. :’)
