Your insight is the key to the Choice in 2008What is sad is what Obama would want to do to the child if it were his daughter who became pregnant. This 17-year-old girl is more responsible than the Democratic candidate for the Presidency.
Obama is ruthless enough that he would have locked the daughter up until an abortionist could make a house call. She would not have been given a choice.
Obama is a baby-killer.

I approached this from a political aspect and haven't made it a personal issue. Its simply not the type of storyline that helps McCain in his campaign effort. Bottom line, it shows poor judgment by McCain and Palin. If you and others don't like hearing that, too bad.

You have precisely zero idea if she did or not.
I’m encouraging you to slow down and consider this more carefully, but I don’t have much faith that will happen. We don’t always get the behavior we encourage in others.
Pro-choice and pro-life folks can agree: the demonization of pregnancy must go away.
For pro-choice folks, that would mean one less weapon to use against women.
For pro-life folks, that would remove a societal onus which drives young women to abort.
The opportunity exists to contrast starkly with Obama’s comment about babies being a burden. If the daughter should have any comment, it should be along the lines of “We should have used contraception, or held off until marriage, but in the heat of the moment we didn’t. Fortunately we love each other and cherish life, so this is one baby who will be born to a married mommy and daddy who adore them. We are so excited!”
You may have a point about Obama’s mother being underage when she became pregnant, since she was only 18 when he was born. I wonder how old Obama’s father was? It’s an interesting thought. I also wonder if Obama thinks that his mother was punished with a baby.

False comparison. If she got caught shoplifting as a juvenile, unless she was a serial offender, her record would be expunged when she became an adult.
Pregnancies don’t get expunged by the court when you turn 18.
Marta something-or-other who is hosting Fox News at the moment doesn’t seem to want to respect their wishes. She appears to want it to be a big story throughout the RNC Convention.
She also seems to be disappointed that oil prices are not going up right now.

Looking at the posts so far the evangelicals all seem to be supporting Sarah Palin its only a few of the snobbish country clubbers who have issues. And while they like to claim that we will be mad, so far the strongly evangelical posters are all totally supporting Sarah.
