BLOWHARD COULD BE JUST WHAT O NEEDS
NEW YORK POST ^ | August 23, 2008 | CHARLES HURT

Posted on 08/23/2008 5:31:23 AM PDT by kellynla

DENVER - Joe Biden is one of the mouthiest politicians in all of Washington, but that's precisely why he may be the perfect pick as Barack Obama's vice president.

His ability to steal center stage during any hearing has made him unrivaled for grating on fellow lawmakers' nerves.

He makes his point - often two or three times - quite bluntly, but always colorfully and memorably. And it's usually Biden who makes the evening news and the next day's papers.

His refreshingly unguarded bluntness also has been the source of some of the worst headaches in his latest failed attempt at the Democratic nomination.

In just the last primary alone, Biden's wild mouth managed to run him afoul of Indians, 7-Eleven clerks and African-Americans.

"You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking," he said with a C-SPAN camera just inches from his unbridled mouth.

Just a few months after apologizing his way out of that one, he "complimented" Obama and at the same time revealed a comically cliched and antiquated take on race in America.

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," he enthused. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Obama's response to Biden's slur wasn't typical. It showed the class that has made him a transformational candidate capable of breaking through previously unbreakable barriers.

"Biden had "denounced Barack Obama's poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing that Barack Obama is not ready to be president."

As evidence, Republicans cited an ABC interview from August 2007, in which Biden said he would stand by an earlier statement that Obama was not ready to serve as president."

Ever since Giuliani dropped out of the primaries the New York Post’s news department has been totally in the tank for Obama, it sickens me, but thank God the editorial board is adamantly opposed to the messiah.

Um, exactly what barriers would that be??

Oh, please. As chairman of a committee when the RATS are in power, Biden is free to bloviate as much as he likes, and as ranking member when the Stupid Party was in power, he wasn't gaveled into silence the way he and the rest of the RATS regularly gavel into silence the few upstart Republicans who try to say something other than, "Thank you oh great and powerful chairman of this committee for the few crumbs you've thrown my way." So I'm not buying this garbage of how he's the star of all these hearings.

It really sickens me that the only conservative paper in NYC is in the tank for Hussein. I still read the paper every day, but I skip right over the national news section.

Obama picked himself a tutor. Biden will try to bring Obama up a level before the standardized test in November.

Senator Biden is a case study in “psychopathic fluency.” I am not saying he is a psychopath or mentally disturbed but he does exhibit classic communicative signs of this disorder.

He appears to be normal, calm, and well informed. While he rarely comes into direct contact with any rule or law breaking his “gaffes” are actually attempts to lever a particular audience in a particular way. This is done without any internal referents such that one can say he does or says this or that because of belief.

Possessed of superior verbal skills he ordinarily talks himself out of trouble with aplomb. In a basic sense, his words have no real emotional meaning. He is, then, the ultimate flip flopper on the basis of always looking at the immediate audience and its convictions as his sole and only guide to positions.

Senator Obama will regret this choice. Being in the Senate for 35 years discussing foreign policy makes one fluent on the subject but not grounded in the subjcect.

What is Bidden going to do, teach Obama how not to make gaffes, how to function with out a tele prompter, and how to plagiarize? I really think that Obama should have chosen Jim Webb or somebody that could have brought something to the ticket!! People in DUmmie land are having their share of questions about the pick also!!

Obama's response to Biden's slur wasn't typical.

Obama has displayed indifference to racial slurs by fellow DemocRats in the past. He endorsed and campaigned for Robert "White N****r" Byrd in the 2006 election. He gave Sheets Byrd a pass on his racist remark, why wouldn't he do the same for Biden?

With 20 years of recorded bloviating, it should be easy to show Biden on both sides of every issue. (And who he “borrowed” it from.)

Hannity said he was hoping the choice would be Biden. He has a wealth of soundbites from the windbag.
