Romney has right RX for McCain
Seattle Times ^ | August 3rd | Froma Harrop

We who obsess over universal health coverage may soon confront a startling development: The only candidate on a major-party presidential ticket to have proposed and implemented a universal plan could well be a Republican. I speak of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now high on the list of John McCain's possible running mates.

You apparently didn't read post number 5.
I will educate you.

"In the year since Romney helped launch the Massachusetts health plan, the following has happened:

The number of uninsured has fallen by 340,000 people, half the total; out-of-pocket costs have dropped significantly; and the benefits are better. With 93 percent of Massachusetts residents now insured, the plan approaches universal nirvana."

All I’m saying is that if the McCain camp wants to lure working class voters in Ohio, they’ve got to tackle this issue and get the facts straightened out now.

Sherrod Brown is like most Democrats in the sense that he thinks people are entitled to employment. I don't think anyone is entitled to anything exception freedom. Apparently the toilet business was not making money. Should a company be forced to continue at a loss? If Sherrod Brown is so concerned about those workers why didn't he buy the company, or raise the capital and risk reinvesting it in the toilet company.

Sounds like the good ol’ boys are after her.

In 2005, Ms. Palin alleged to Mr. Wooten’s supervisors that he had threatened to harm her sister and father and had engaged in numerous instances of misconduct, including using a stun gun on his 10-year-old stepson, according to state documents.

From WSJ:

In one instance, she told state investigators, she overheard him on the telephone threatening her sister: “I’m gonna f-kin” shoot your dad. He’s gonna get a lead bullet.”

Mr. Wooten told investigators he tested a Taser stun gun on the boy at his request but never threatened the Palins. An internal police investigation substantiated the stun-gun incident and some other charges but threw out most of the rest. Mr. Wooten was suspended for five days in 2006.

Why would it be? It’s private insurance. What’s driving Massachusetts into bankruptcy is the General Court and their jester-in-chief Devil “Just Words” Patrick.

They aren’t saying it out loud.. but I kind of think a few Freepers think that way. Which is wrong.

Thanks. But, What “five songs?” I lean to Palin but would not be upset with Mitt.

I just saw it today here and on a PAC website. It does exist — don’t kid yourself.

The people in Ohio aren't stupid. I would wager that they would trust Mr. Romney over Sherrod Brown any day.

Check this out... I believe Conservatives are already energized about Mitt.

Rush Limbaugh SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Ann Coulter SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Sean Hannity SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Tom Tancredo SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Robert Bork SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Laura Ingraham SUPPORTS ROMNEY

The head of the ACU SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Karl Rove SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Mark Levin SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Hugh Hewitt SUPPORTS ROMNEY

William F. Buckley SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Glenn Beck SUPPORTS ROMNEY

Ann Coulter endorses Mitt Romney

"Liberals claim to be enraged at Romney for being a "flip-flopper." I've looked and looked, and the only issue I can find that Romney has "flipped" on is abortion. When running for office in Massachusetts – or, for short, "the Soviet Union" – Romney said that Massachusetts was a pro-choice state and that he would not seek to change laws on abortion.

Romney's first race was against Sen. Teddy Kennedy – whom he came closer to beating than any Republican ever had. If Romney needed to quote "The Communist Manifesto" to take out that corpulent drunk, all men of good will would owe him a debt of gratitude."

“Seriously, I wouldn’t even worry about this.”

I disagree. This subject was just discussed at the water cooler within the last couple of weeks.

Perhaps I chose the wrong link to post, but I can assure you that it IS a subject of discussion and could influence an undecided voter.

If you don’t believe me, go to the Ohio WARN site and look at all the job losses. This is THE number one issue here at least in my parts. I just asked an Obama supporter if they really, truly believed Obama was going to bring back manufacturing jobs and they said “Well, not right away but eventually, yes.”

“I haven’t seen that. Where is it?”

You haven’t been reading a lot of the Romney threads, have you. Or if you have, you need new specs.

Mitt was barely acceptable as a ‘Stop McCain’ vote. He sure as heck is NOT a strong conservative!

Mitt as VP is just another slap in conservatives faces.
