Washington - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday that he regretted having put his two young children through an extensive interview on a US entertainment show - an extremely rare occurrence for politicians.
Obama, who has typically been very protective of his children's public profile, appeared Tuesday night on NBC's 'Access Hollywood' with his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha. The interview had been taped during Malia's 10th birthday party in Montana on July 4, US Independence Day.
(snip)
Obama on Wednesday morning admitted he may have gone too far in allowing his children to speak on national television.
'I think that we got carried away in the moment. We were having a birthday party and everybody was laughing, and suddenly this thing cropped up,' he told NBC.
'We wouldn't do it again, and we won't be doing it again,' he said.

When Obama loses, you know for a FACT that there will be no consideration that he lost for any other reason than because he’s black.

Yeah, like he regretted his pastor in the church he chose to go to for 20 odd years. He sure regrets alot.

Maybe I’m weird, but I’m willing to give him a pass here.
What daddy doesn’t want to show off his kids?
(Besides, they’re a LOT cuter than Amy Carter)...

He laments his lack of judgement
in a situation involving his own kids and he wants us to trust his judgement when it comes to the nation? Good one Barry.
Wasn't it a point of honor in the Snobama campaign - just a few months ago - that the kids were being kept out of the campaign spotlight. If I recall correctly, even National Review noted it.

He used his kids to get the results he wanted, and now he wants to retroactively declare them off limits.
He is a manipulative liar.

It was like Hillary sending out her daughter for meet and greet events and then telling the press/public that they were not to ask Chelsea any questions.

Come to think of it, they are cuter than Chelsea was (although she did ‘clean up’ pretty well finally)...

How convenient! First he warns the “evil GOPers” and his press to keep away from his family. When it is convenient, he abandons these “principles” to pimp his daughters on the Access Hollywood program.
B-HO is a worse flip-flopper than Jean Kerry.

I confess I did not see the interview . I was just piling on . As soon as I have something more positive to say about the GOP candidate than “He is better than Obama “ I'll get back to you .

Absolutely.
Though I’m not sure why he gets to be “black”: white mama, raised in a white household, ambiguously “black” daddy hit the road (typical) very shortly after his birth...
