Hello everyone ....
Not much of an update but here goes ......
We got up to see Jim about 2:00. There was no one there and he said noone had been to see him today. I’m not sure if notpoliticallycorewrecked had been there or not.
While we were there Saundra Duffy came by to check on him. She didn’t stay very long but told me if he needs anything to please let her know.
Jim seemed kinda tired today but he said he was feeling okay. A little pain but not bad. He does not want to see his ‘leg’ when the doc comes in to change the bandages. He’s afraid it will freak him out! ;^ )
He said he ate lunch but I didn’t ask him if he ever got breakfast.
He had 4 beautiful bouquets; I tried to get pictures. If they are okay, I will post them later.
Anyway ... his flowers were from ..
(1)I couldn’t find the card. :-(
(2)Melanie Morgan
(3)Ann Coulter
(4) All of you.
He keeps reminding me to let everyone know how much you and your prayers mean to him.
I told him that I was delivering tons of hugs. He said AwwwwRight!
He told me again that he would be there 2 or 3 days. I know he is anxious to get home but I hope they keep him there long enough to give him some orientation on getting around and what type of equipment he might need.
I told him I would call again this evening when I thought someone would be there to get his phone for him.
Thanks again for the warm wishes and the many prayers. God is listening.
Are the blood tests looking better yet?
Keep prayin.
Amy, thanks so much for keeping everyone up to date on Jim, I can understand the reluctance to see the results of the surgery, I had a near fatal car wreck in ‘03 and I got a glimpse of my already-ugly mug in the mirror, with a fresh dose of ugly, it’s hard to deal with, and Jim?
It’s ok to take all the time you want, what you feel able to deal with on any given day is not dependent on anybody’s schedule, it only depends on what you feel like doing, as little or as much as you please.
We’re all just glad that you are who you are, a man among men, someone who has resolve and determination, someone we love and respect under all conditions and in any situation.
Most of us have come to know you because of FR, but what we feel for you goes way *beyond* FR, we are all members of a grand extended family, not all of us always get along with each other, but that’s the nature of families. But the glue holding us together in this family?
That’s you Jim, you are ‘Dad’ to many more people than you will ever know, of that I am sure, and we love you.
Rest well now, hope you enjoy your dinner, and tomorrow you’ll be one day closer to getting out of there and heading home.
G’nite, the Lord IS with you! :)
MKJ
Jim, you get well and get yerself back home where ya belong, ya hear?
Thanks for the update.
Get well, Jim.
Jim, you old sly dog, you!
Update in 1362!
Melanie?
Ann?
Now how cool is THAT!!!!!!!
Jim? Keep listening to the docs. Sleep, sleep, sleep. Eat and eat and eat. And we’ll keep on praying...
Again, Amy...thank you!
Thanks for keeping us all posted, Amy.
And thanks for being there for Jim.
God bless you, and may God continue to bless Jim as he recovers and heals.
Some people will do anything to get flowers from Ann Coulter. ;)
Thanks for the update Amy.
Our thoughts and prayers continue for this fine man and good Friend.
Thanks so very much for your updates and pings! Keeping Jim in our prayers.
Great that you saw Jim and gave big hugs! I hope they can keep him there long enough to guide him on how to deal with this new challenge.
I personally hate being in the hospital so I have sympathy for wanting to get out.
Prayers for healing....and patience.
Flowers from Melanie and Ann? Wow. He’s in great company!
Thank you, dear Amy for doing all you are doing. Glad to hear Jim is doing as well as he is. He should stay there because it is so hard for the ones at home to do what needs to be done. I hope he doesn’t try to hurry up too much. It would be good if he could stay 4 or 5 more days if the hospital will let him.
Sometimes the patient doesn’t know what he will be going through at home. But he will do what he thinks is best, I hope.
Thanks again Amy and please take care of yourself!! Remember the world will keep on turning if you slow down a little~~~;o)
I am glad to hear he is doing well.
More great news...I will post this at Gopachy for the folks there...thanks so much.
Thank you for all the updates, Amy.
I give praise and thanks to the Lord Almighty for all He has done and continues to do for our Jim. There’s still a lot ahead for Jim...lots of rehab and learning to do some things in new ways.
But the Lord who brought Jim through the surgery will see him through the recuperation period, too.
Our God is a Mighty God. He is the same yesterday, today, and always.
He loves his children with an everlasting love.
Thank you, Lord, for watching over our brother, leader, and founder, Jim Robinson.
We praise your Holy Name and give thanks unending!
Insurance companies want patients out as soon as possible, too soon in many cases. Jim will need some type of physical therapy and rehab. 2-3 days after leg amputation is much too soon.
God is Great! Continued prayers... Keep up the fight Jim, your family needs you, your country needs you, we all need you. God Bless.
Thanks again Amy, for the update. Thanks to all the flower givers to Melanie, Ann , and someone we do not know... thank you for getting Jim flowers. I hope someone sent hims some red white and blue flowers. I know those are Jim’s favorite colors. :-)
Glad you are doing well Jim. Can not wait for you to get back to your folks here at Free Republic.
