a chinese boy have words to say to MARKUSPRIME and others

Posted on 05/13/2008 10:59:47 PM PDT by chinaboy

To: All I want to let the chinese that are really here for support know that I am sorry for being so rude, and crass during this time. Now I do not like the CCP at all and belive in democracy for everyone. I feel angry and jaded at the world at this moment in my life because someone really close to me in my family died a few weeks ago. I have had a rough year and can be very snappy and mean at times. I do apologize and my prayers go out to all the innocents lost. I was just thinking about this last night about my family and my loss and thought I would say sorry.

845 posted on 2008年5月13日 21:24:14 by MARKUSPRIME --------------------------------------------------------- Hello,MARKUSPRIME,I feel sorry about your family. Our existence is far more tenuous than we might think.Place your hand over your chest and feel your heartbeat. That is actually your life clock ticking, and one day it will stop. That is 100 percent guaranteed, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.Like everyone else,we will have some days that are better than others.Occasionally, everything may seem like a total disaster area.Just like the tough times we have.So let us give our prayers to all kindly people and thanks to the god for we still alive.

MARKUSPRIME,I am a Chinese,15 years old student in nanning, guangxi province.I also lost my father because the cancer in 2 years ago.I felt very sad ,very helpless but didn’t felt hopeless.Because I know my father never leave away from me.And my father taught me that ever problem has a lifespan. No problem is permanent.Storms always give way to the sun.Winter always thaws into springtime. All problem will be solved. MARKUSPRIME,In this tough time, you may not be able to control the times, but you can compose your response. You can turn your pain into protanity---or into poetry.Of cause, the choice is up to you.You may not have chosen your tough time, but you can choose how you will react to it.

Life is very like a mirror:if you smile upon it ,it smiles back upon you;but if you frown and look doubtful on it ,you will get a similar look in return.Inner sunshine warms not only the heart of the owner, but of all that come in contact with it.who shuts love out,in turn shall be shut from love.

MARKUSPRIME,I guess you have never been to china before, and you know nothing about the Chinese culture and history at all.You learn about china form the Western media. I must to say, I really don’t see any love, generosity, friendship or cooperation from the recent report of Western media and politics, except full of bias/distortion. And Most of the time, you westerns don't really realize that they are just biases - you think you're just being reasonable.

So, MARKUSPRIME,I don’t want to talk about politics, but I want to tell you about my feeling,as an ordinary Chinese. In my experience, you (American/ westerns)always believe in youselves,as you do not believe in others. You permit all things to youselves, and that which you call sin in others. So you criticize all the time.

For me, I was rich,if not meney,in sunny hours and summer days.I can go shares my beatufull time with my nearest and dearest. So,however mean my life is,I just meet it and live it;never shut it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as I am.As we know, the fault-finder will find faults even in paradise. So I love my peaceful life, poor as it is.I may perhapshave some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poor-house.The setting sun is reflected from the window of the alms-house as brightly as from yours abode. So let me be grateful that I have suffered no intolerable wrong,no terrible woe of flesh or spirit, such as my fathers(grandfathers). Is it not much to have accomplished so large a part of the mortal journey with so much ease?

This day,I pay my attention to some guys’ words, those makes me feel confused. I don’t know why do we get so hung up on what we don’t agree on,when in fact it’s our differences that make life interesting? After all, half the world is upside down,so there’s absolutely no reason why we would all agree on everything.Even something as basic and profound as”Don’t chew with your mounth open” is not as widely accepted as you might think.

Why is it that when passions are inflamed we choose to argue and fight, when dancing the cha-cha is less injurious, far more enjoyable, and equally effective in resolving thesion? And why do we feel drawn together sometimes, yet we steadily build up defensive barriers around our innermost feelings and beliefs so we can never be truly close to anyone?

I think , we all have filters on, so we mostly see only what we want to see.So, when you finally open your eyes, you may be shocked at the obscured way you have been viewing the world to suit your own little plans. With those filters removed, you can take a closer look into yourself and others.

Finally,I want to say, MARKUSPRIME,your apologetic post make me warm.So I decide to say some words to you and to all kindly American, whom pray for the vitcims in the earthquake.THANK YOU.In the end, MARKUSPRIME,I wanna say to you, tough times never last, but tough people do.Storms always give way to the sun.Winter always thaws into springtime.Your storm will pass.Your wither will thaw.Your problem will be solved. And ours too.(I expect you and all the american in this board can see what I said)

for example, we can file a law suit against the government or the department irresponsible even in the central government, you can find the related news in Chinese, and the lawsuit is reported in different newspapers and the chances of winning is become bigger and bigger...

It is signs like this that give us great hope for China. For a government to be fair it must be accountable to the people. Of all the nations that were communist only China has shown it can adapt with the changing times. That is why the others have mostly fallen. Hopefully your government will continue to improve in this way. Please understand that the mistrust Americans have for China is a mistrust of its government and not it's people or culture. We have many Chinese people here in America.

Your English is quite good, and it will improve as you continue here on FR.

Hopefully, some of our more understanding FReepers will help you along.

By the way, 'Mama' is a shortened version of 'mother', so I am a warmhearted woman (Thank you for the compliment)

I'm not offended by the mistake, I just wanted to let you know.

We have many Chinese people here in America.

including my niece Rachel who my brother, pigrigger, adopted from China 7 years ago. He ensures she Chinese ancestry/culture is remembered by her, and well spoken of. While she is of Chinese ancestry she certainly has taken to good 'ol American burgers/hot dogs and apple pie...she has become a typical American girl with a fine Chinese ancestry. She is a blessing to our family.

Oh boy. Where to start....

I've been here for almost ten years and you're "uneasy" about me? Relax, newbie. You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

DITHF wasn't about "fake Germans". It was about a kid in Texas (IIRC) pretending to be a US Special Forces soldier stationed in Bosnia. A lot did happen to people around here when he was exposed as a fake as people around here wasted a LOT of their time conversing with him and worrying about the safety of him and his fellow troops. Several Freepers including me were so taken in that we created and sent him care packages. I was out over $40 that I spent on boxes of cigars that I sent to him. So yes, fakers can cause real harm.

All I have done with my posts on this thread is warn people not to get taken in. I haven't attacked chinaboy or condemned his posts. I haven't told people not to post to him. All I've said is be cautious. I've been on the Internet since the early nineties and I've seen it all. This post and the timing just is a little suspicious. I hope it turns out to be genuine and if so, I heartily welcome chinaboy to FR and freedom!

And regarding the tragedy in China, I have friends and coworkers over there right in the thick of it. I just minutes ago finally learned one of them is OK. My posts on this thread have been nothing negative about expressing condolences for the Chinese.

Just a little word of caution about corresponding with strangers from non-free nations.

They feel the same way.

can american pose any politic opinion on BBS without fearing cops?

That's correct. It's in the Constitution, freedom of speech.

That's kind of funny...you instructed your new friend on why you included him in your reply, and you insulted me, all in one post. So I guess it's okay to teach him good behavior and bad behavior, huh?

Well you may have been here for ten years but I haven't seen even one of your posts until today. So call me a newbie if it makes you feel better.

SW6906 wrote: "...Several Freepers including me were so taken in that we created and sent him care packages. I was out over $40 that I spent on boxes of cigars that I sent to him. So yes, fakers can cause real harm."

Here's the deal, you got taken in by a troll on the Internet and you said that many others also were taken in. Does that make your goodwill gesture of sending someone whom you believed to be a soldier in Bosnia $40 worth of cigars any less giving, any less thoughtful? No, it doesn't.

The burden of deception fell on the troll. It's his problem now, not yours. You didn't lose anything because you desired to do the right thing and you acted upon good faith that the person you were dealing with was who they said they were.

You decided to believe the troll and from your heart you gave your time, your considerate thoughts, and then you gave your money. The troll didn't win, though, you did.

It was the gesture, the good deed that you did that counts, not the lost money, not the lost time, not the prayers said in earnest for the impostor.

You didn't expect anything in return.

Sincere prayers are heard by God and your prayers for the soldier who was actually an impostor were also heard by God. The benefit was still there and I believe a soldier somewhere benefited from your prayers, but you just didn't get the reward of "knowing" who or where that soldier was who benefited.

Are you now going to hold a grudge for the rest of your life for doing the right thing for someone you believed was a solider and whom you believed was in need? Only if you hold a grudge will your good deed done from your heart be in vain.

It's always right to do the good deed first. You're not in a battlefield, you're on the Internet typing on a computer. Don't let suspicion overrule your heart.

I have not seen any Chinese asking anyone to give anything. They're here translating into English, telling us what happened, asking only for prayers. Is that too much for anyone anywhere to ask?
"All I have done with my posts on this thread is warn people not to get taken in."

One warning is plenty of negativity. You've now mentioned it a few times. Just one little word cast against another newbie and you basically imply that the newbie is nothing better than the impostor soldier you prayed over and sent cigars to. And you didn't even need to give more than your little warning and the damage was done.

Warning SW6906 got burned by a troll one time and he'll never forget it. Look out, it's a newbie posting from another country. Don't send cigars folks. Be careful!

You were a newbie once too, but not from a foreign country nor were you attempting to translate your thoughts and feelings from one language into another. That would require a lot of courage, a lot of effort and a lot of faith that your message would be well received.

I consider myself to be quite versatile.

-----

So I guess it's okay to teach him good behavior and bad behavior, huh?

I don't consider telling someone that they may be too quick to judge as 'bad' behavior.

-----

Everyone seem so concerned that they may be 'fooled' by another poster. The question is....why?

If someone 'fools' you, it is not YOU who are the fool, it is them.

Your good faith in believing someone's words as trustworhty (unless and until they prove that faith is misplaced) IS the 'good deed'.

That good deed remains unchanged, it is the liar that is the fool.

Almighty and eternal God, who created us in Thine image
and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful,
especially in the divine person of Thine Only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
grant, we beseech Thee,
that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, Bishop and Doctor,
during our journeys through the internet
we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee
and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Words we both should heed. Thanks.
