Smacking Down You Tube Terrorists Thread 2 - (Please help!)

I just want to say that you guys are awesome!  We had a GREAT month in April - and I'm here to give you the full results....

 

Our Smackdown Bomber flew from April 12 thru 30 -- that's a total of 18 days for those of you in Rio Linda.  (Thanks for the great Bomber pic, alfa6!)  The "Smackdowns" are removal of specific videos and the "Suspensions" are the removal of users -- a suspension can result in many, many terrorist videos being taken down as most users have more than one video posted.  So without further ado...

April 12 - 30, 2008 Results:

7 Suspensions

With those 7 suspensions, 179 videos were removed from YouTube:

If you're new at this, we'd love to have you working with us.  Here are the steps for flagging videos:

(H/T to rawcatslyentist):

#1) If you don’t have a YouTube account, go sign up for one. You don’t have to use it for anything but this.

#2) Click one of the links below, let the video start and then click the pause button on the player so you don’t have to actually watch the propaganda.

#3) Below the video, click “Flag as inappropriate.”

#4) Choose “promotes hatred or violence”

#5) Where it says “please indicate the group attacked” choose National Origin.

#6) Where it says “provide additional information.....” type or copy/paste in the below statement.

Providing services to terrorists violates executive orders 12947 and 13224.

Subject: Smackdown! An Organized Effort

These people want to flag videos deemed "terrorist" until they are banned. You may be on the list. I googled my youtube account and discovered that I was.

It's alright by me because I am going to back up every one of my videos and post them again if I get removed.

This message is for all my brothers and sisters. There is a concerted effort to attack and remove us. Take the neccessary precautions and we cannot be stopped!

I’m getting a message that it’s a private video. Could that mean we won’t be able to flag it anymore because the public doesn’t have access?

I went back to look at the video. That message may have been there before, but I didn’t notice it (can’t see as well as I used to...lol). I just thought it was gone because it took me to the main page. It says you have to be on the person’s friend list, which probably includes plenty terrorist supporters.

Howdy Mr. Silverback and everyone else here! Thanks for all your help getting rid of the jihadi videos on YouTube.

I think we are still okay. From what I understand, you can only have 25 friends view a private video. I am running a test and think it can not be viewed from another source, such as a forum, unless you are logged in as a friend. When you click to play the video, it says the video has been removed. So, either way, the video is just about dead. We will have to keep going back to make sure it is not live anymore, but, for all intents and purposes, mr. mysticalgroove gave up!

I looked at the posters account and he seems to be a “truther”. The other public videos mainly have to do with 911. I wonder if he got notice about the video being flagged and opted to make it private to keep it from being taken down.

Entirely possible. I think I will play with my YouTube account later tonight and upload a video and see what happens if I make it private. I may ask for some help from ya’ll! :-)

The standard of behavior we expect of YouTube users is set out in our Community Guidelines. If a user posts a video or otherwise behaves on the site contrary to these Guidelines, we will generally remove the offending material, and apply a Community Guidelines warning strike against the account of the poster. These strikes stick with the accounts belonging to that user for six months from the date they are received. If a user receives such a strike they will be notified when they next log-in to their YouTube account. For reference, copies of the notice are also sent to the user’s email address and YouTube private message inbox.

The first strike on an account is considered a warning. If an account receives two strikes within a six month period, the ability to post new content to YouTube from that account will be temporarily disabled. If there are no further issues, full privileges will be restored automatically after a period. If an account receives a third Community Guidelines strike within six months (before the first strike has expired) the account will be terminated.

When a user has posting privileges temporarily disabled on one account, for the duration of the suspension that user is also prohibited from posting material to YouTube using any other account. Attempts to circumvent this rule may result in immediate termination without warning of all accounts

I’m guessing the poster took this video private to try to avoid losing his account. I would think it would be a big hassle to create another account, repost all of your videos, and notify all of your subscribers and friends.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION:

The DNC apparently thinks that it's a great idea to politicize the deaths
of our brave ones and have decided to use video very similar to that which
we are battling on YouTube every day in an anti-McCain ad.
Regardless of your view of John McCain, using the deaths of our soldiers
   in a political ad is morally reprehensible.  If you have the time, please
see this thread and then voice your displeasure with the DNC.

The Stubborn List

This list will remain up until these videos are down.  For whatever reason these particular videos have staying power.  No matter how often they are flagged, they just stay up.  So I figured we could flag them several times each -- not every day by each person, but each of us maybe once a week -- and maybe YouTube will get the point....
