Hillary’s at 55% to 40% for Uncommitted, isn’t this kind of...pathethic for someone running practically unopposed

It's worse, She lost to "uncommitted" in liberal establishment, ivory tower, progressive democrat Ann Arbor.

What a reat night! Mitt has stopped McCain, revitalized his own campaign, and proven the MSM wrong! We conservatives and Republicans are the big winners here.

And Hillary! 45% of her own party go out into the cold and snow just to record a vote against her! There are no actual delegates at stake and no other candidates to support.

We have a chance to win this thing!

You think that McCain losing is NOT a great victory for Republicans and conservatives? You were for McCain?

Romney kicked major butt tonight! I noticed that he beat the Huck by almost 200,000 votes! He is now in the best position of all of them.

Also Mitt beat Hillary, by 10,000 votes, and the only candidate she had with whom to divide Democrat votes was McCain.

My sense is that Mitt has found his voice here. You notice that his victory speech was completely unscripted, and his list of broken things is the same list we have recited many times. I can’t describe the relief I feel at McCain being stopped here.

I am always impressed that how Mitt can speak without looking at any notes. I watched the Kennedy speech back in the 60’s defending his religion after Mitt’s “Faith in America” speech. Every few seconds, Kennedy was looking down at his notes. It detracted from his message.

Mitt is amazing in this regard.

The most important thing to me is that our party puts forth a man who represents conservatism, caring for the Constitution and the people. Win or lose, I want to be proud of my candidate. I could not be proud of Huck or McCain. Nuf said.

That said, we have really watered down our party. I have decided to stay true to my beliefs and convictions. If it means a Dem in the white house.....so be it. We can pick up the pieces later.

Well, isn't that nice. I don't suppose you figured into your equation the fact that those "pieces" we'll be picking up later will be the bodies of our military men and women who were hung out to dry by a Dem in the White House. Rest well....our military doesn't.

Mitt’s margin of victory over McCain, based on CNN’s count at 100% voting is 9.26%, which is larger than the 5.63% McCain beat him in NH (from CNN) and is actually larger than the 9.18% Huck beat him by in Iowa (latter based on the 100% tally that finally showed up in the Des Moines Register a few days later), larger than the 7.83% Obama beat Silky by in Iowa and even the 8.11% he beat Hillary by in Iowa. If the media continues to ignore Mitt’s even bigger win in WY this the largest win of any candidate in any press covered state, unless you count Hillary’s win over uncommitted today (somehow I doubt she’s bragging about that one.) Yet McCain was expected to win this by the MSM. Will they act surprised and have polling mea culpas like they did after Hillary won NH?

I would be very concerned if Mitt could not win his home state.

“You know how Democrats like to devide people with race, religion and gender.”

Finally the dems are showing their true colors. The only thing holding that party together is the VICTIM mentality. They’re all victims. Women are victims. Poor are victims. Minorities are victims.

Obama’s rise in popularity is finally exposing the Clintonistas as no more than bigoted, disingenuine panderers to people who view the world as being weighted against them....keeping them down.

Finally, many African-Americans are beginning to realize that it is the democratic establishment that is the real culprit.

Our troops are currently in the field fighting and dying in an offensive to remove the insurgents/al qaeda from Iraq.

The American public has no sense of priorities.

I had dinner last night with a men’s group from my congregation and a lot of the men are doctors. They constantly bemoan what is happening to medicine and yet support Hillary. It’s crazy.

I really think the GOP starting with the President has a huge communication problem. We also have a huge religious problem. One person that agrees with me and is a student of the New Testament quotes Jesus, “Unto Caesar things that are Caesar’s and unto G-D things that are G-d’s.”

There are too many people that have a denomination specific religious criteria for President on the Conservative side. As long as the government lets you alone what more can you expect. My problem with Rudy is his Second Amendment stance. My close support for Fred is due to his strong stance on Federalism.

We need to be realistic and Constitutional. McCain is not a Constitutional man in my opinion. Huck is a religious huckster. And the easiest way for the GOP to permanently loose elections it to engage in identity politics. I lean towards Romney after Fred. I sure hope both get better at communicating.

I still like a Romney/Fred ticket. Romney has the best executive skills to streamline the mess that is Washington and Fred is the ideal rudder on the ship of state. I'm somewhat hopeful that in a brokered convention adults will take over and re-affirm what needs to be the conservative platform "Smaller Government" and mission "Communicating and Engaging the Benefits of Smaller Government".

“I hope our county is past the mentality of the 1800’s when they had extermination orders out on my forefathers because of the religious differences of the time.”

Me too. I find it very disturbing around here to see the religious test so prevalent. The only religious test or qualification should be, “do they follow the Constitution and leave me alone.”
