What happened over 30 years ago has nothing to do with what needs to be done in the here and now. I do not take this lightly either. Our son served in Iraq and we also have other family members and friends who are serving. The Democrats have done everything they can possibly do to undermine the WOT, Iraq, Afghanistan, our military and their missions. I won’t abandon our troops to the Dems by placing my personal wishlist on social issues above what is in their best interest.

Duncan's problems are in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley and in LA County. Unfortunately, both areas have WAY to many liberal voters to offset any support he would get from OC, the Inland Empire, San Diego and the Central Valley.

Named as VP on the upcoming ticket would do just as well. In fact, that could go a long way in balancing the ticket. From the way the numbers are playing out, we're going to have a nominee who doesn't sit well with many conservatives--DH could mollify a lot of that.

I can't think of the last House member who gained the Presidency, excepting Ford.

I know you voted for a guy who increased taxes nearly 50% during his tenure as governor of Arkansas, and who increased spending at THREE TIMES THE RATE OF INFLATION.

I know you voted for a guy who pardoned 1100 criminals, more than every neighboring state COMBINED during his tenure. I know that one of those recipients of Huckster's largesse - a violent rapist - went on to commit a murder.

I know you voted for a guy who buys into the man-made Global Warming scam.

I know that you voted for a guy who has proposed a national smoking ban.

I know you voted for the ONLY Republican candidate who sought - AND RECEIVED - the NEA endorsement. I also know that the reason he got that endorsement is that he opposes school vouchers.

I know that you voted for a guy who wants to shut down Guantanamo so the rest of the world will like us better.

I know that you voted for the only GOP presidential candidate to voice disapproval of Bush's veto of the "S-CHIP" expansion.

I know that you voted for a guy who covered up for his dog-torturing scumbag of a son when he was governor.

I know that you voted for a guy who responds to substantive attacks on his record with potty jokes.

And above all, I know that you won't even try to justify or explain any of this. Because like every Huckabee supporter I've encountered, you are immune to facts. I know that you won't debate issues becuase you know your candidate is an open-borders nanny-state, income redistributor and that his record and public statements prove it.

See? I know a lot about you!

I know that whether you've been here for ten years or ten thousand, you're not a conservative. I also know that if you've been seduced by Huckster, you're somewhat simple-minded. Which is more than demonstrated by this....
