I am a strong Christian, Southern Baptist. I am electing a president of the United States, not a pastor. I am not against Huckabee because he is a preacher. I am against Huckabee because he is a pro-life, pro-gun Liberal-Populist!

I expect it to be a zoo, especially with Ron Paul and is, um, supporters out in force.

I'm in Iowa City. Ron Paul supporters (a vocal lot) all seemed to be the college kids, so I don't know if they will be around for the Caucus or not, as it is vacation.

I'm looking forward to my first Caucus. If we get any candidates speaking to us in IC, it would be great, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

I have no doubt that you are a genuine conservative . but thats almost something a bigoted liberal would say.

Most Christian voters are not stupid.

If the Republican party throws religious people off the bus. The base is gone.

That’s the thing - I don’t see him as particularly honest about his faith or anything else. If you want to vote for a Jim Baker type so be it I guess.

Folks associated with the National Council of Churches are supposed to be strong christians too.....

For a so-called preacher you would think he’d know all Ten Commandments.

Susan Estrich: Huckabee Is A “Democrat’s Dream”

The Huckester is soft on illegals, has no clue on foreign affairs or the military.

I am in San Diego with 250,000 Marines and Navy.
This is the last person they want as commander in chief.
He makes Carter look good.

I am against Huckabee because he is a pro-life, pro-gun Liberal-Populist!

Being pro-life and pro-gun puts Huckabee way ahead of Rudy and Romney, at least.

I wouldn't vote for Huck in the primary, but he gets a LOT more flack around here than he deserves.

Huckabee the BIG TAXER NANNY STATE PRO-ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY who uses his religion as a band aid for is leadership deficiencies!

NO WAY

Huckabee supports a MASSIVE NEW ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM giving every RESIDENT family (as the governmnet defines family) a MONTHLY CHECK for his federal sales tax (aka fair tax scam).

Every month the federal government will send families a PREBATE for their ANTICIPATED government approved family federal sales tax expenditures.

That is not leadership, THAT IS MAXISM! (from each according to their ability to each according to their needs!) NO WONDER HUCKABEE HEARTS OBAMA!

Marxists love Marxists!

“Praying for a Huckabee victory tonight.”

Why? He gives every indication of being the worst Republican candidate in the field... His positions on illegal immigration, social programs and taxation are all unacceptable.

Talon,

I wasn’t kidding in an earlier post. Is there a way to cheat in the Iowa caucuses ? Are all the people involved in the caucus signed in and checked ? Could a PIG like the PIAPS find a way to cheat ?

Thanks
btd

I look at the bigger picture. I dont want to vote based on fiscal conservatism alone or social conservatism alone. Huckabee is strong against terrorism. he wants to finish the job in Iraq. He wants to get rid of the IRS. He is a family man.

I love his personality. He has the charm to win.

*He is being honest about his faith. Everyone should be honest and open about their faith in God.*

So Was Jimmy Carter and the Huckester is another Jimmy Carter more ways than one.

“Given Rush’s comments on the his show today where is AGAIN virtually endorsed thompson and reamed huckabee a “new one” is there ANY iowa people able to post here?”

Endorsing Thompson as the most conservative won’t hurt Rush, and most won’t be bothered by it. However, his denigrating Huckabee is going to cost him listeners - especially if Huckabee wins tonight. Actually, Rush denigrating Huckabee will probably make Huckabee’s supporters more likely to show up to make Rush eat crow.

At a minimum IF Huckabee wins then it hurts Rush’s credibility.

Rush better watch who he slams. This COULD come back to haunt him and cost him in the pocketbook.
