MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Campaigning in New Hampshire today, Republican Ron Paul says he would lift sanctions on Iran and order the U.S. Navy to pull back from its shores.
Paul says if the U.S. relieved pressure on Iran, people would breathe a sign of relief, interest rates probably would not go up and oil prices probably would drop.
Speaking in Manchester, Paul said the Bush administration has been looking for war with Iran.
(also discussed here)
I think Ron Paul would let us be nuked while he looked around and whistled.
I’d like to see Ron Paul fly his silly blimp over Iran !!!!
Nope, but Iran has been looking to start a nuclear arms race throughout the Middle East. ...which is precisely what would happen if we allowed their nuclear program to come to fruition. Sane folks understand that allowing nuclear proliferation in the Islamic world isn't a rational option. Ron Paul, obviously, isn't sane.
Jimmuh, is that you?

If history is any guide, I think its pretty clear sanctions haven’t solved much of anything, and probably generally have made things worse. I don’t think the US government should control the trading patterns of private individuals.
btw, here is a great interview, IMO, that Paul had on Glenn Beck’s show last night:

Well how else is he going to get campaign contributions from them?
Just when I start having a tiny glint of respect for Ron Paul... he pulls a nut-comment like this...
Of course he would...his campaign is all about CUT & RUN and SURRENDER, just like the DUmocrats.
I don’t waste time watching Ron Paul interviews. He is a bottom feeder. I only watch interviews of the real contenders, the viable candidates.
Didn’t that NIE state that Iran stopped their nuclear program because of international pressure? If the NIE is true, it would mean sanctions have worked and are a good alternative to military action.
If Paul was President instead of Bush, there would have been no sanctions, pressure or threats of military action; a President Paul would have allowed Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Well, Ron Paul seems to be the best broadcaster of Ron Paul — kind of like Hillary on Hillary.
The man is a loon, a certified loon.
LOL... good one :)
