Reportedly a supporter of building the fence? Has the writer of this article been living in a cave?

He’s my man but unfortunately, the press helps the people they want to run for the presidency!

Supporter of building the fence??
The Secure Fence Act written by Congressman Duncan Hunter, Presidential Candidate 2008, would extend THIS "San Diego Primary Fence" throughout our southern border states.

Sounds like it. Whoever wins this thing needs to put Hunter in charge of Homeland Security. I know people dream of him at Sec Def but Homeland Security would actually mean something if this guy was in charge.

the press helps the people they want to run for the presidency
You can't blame Hunter's failure to rise on the press.
No one needs the press to ignite a groundswell.
And once the groundswell begins, the press is powerless to stop it. They instantly become unwilling participants.
No, the reason for the lack of a Duncan Hunter groundswell is...
Actually, I don't know the reason.
But I know it's not the press. Blaming the press is crybaby stamping of feet.
It's the candidate. Something about this candidate is just not catching fire, except for here in FR, in the hearts of a few.

It’s the “I won’t vote for him because he can’t win because I won’t vote for him” syndrome.
The American people are so used to the media selecting the frontrunners that they’ve quit thinking outside the box.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), one of the few Republican presidential candidates to walk the talk on border security, blasted the Bush administration for suffering from "a case of 'the slows' on border enforcement."
Next time you hear a leading presidential candidate try to woo you with his nine-point immigration-enforcement plan or his secure ID plan or his Secure Borders platform, point to the Incredible Disappearing Border Fence. Poof! That is what happens to election-season homeland-security promises. Why would theirs be any different?---MICHELLE MALKIN

no, the reason is because pissant is such a pain in the a$$. He has turned more people off of D.H. than are currently supporting him!

his lack of exposure.
You give the socialist media too much credit. It's far too soon to reach a conclusion on any candidate.

Its the I wont vote for him because he cant win because I wont vote for him syndrome.
Blah, blah, blah. I've seen this "clever line" before. It's total BS.
A good candidate IGNITES support, the same way a flame ignites a dead pile of leaves.
Hunter, as good as he is (and I have acknowledged about a thousand times that he's a great American, a great patriot and a great conservative) ain't igniting didddly squat.
He's going NOWHERE. And all the huffing and puffing and stamping of feet here in FR, by a small number of ardent supporters, means exactly the same thing: diddly squat.
It's the CANDIDATE who ignites support, not the press, not the syndromes (or lack of them). It's the CANDIDATE.
And this CANDIDATE just ain't doing it.
