This is what Rush was so irate about at the beginning of his show today. This is just another 'RAT effort to undermine our allies in this war. Check out Rush's web site tonight to read the details in the transcript.

Hmm. I don’t know that I agree with Rush at all. I think it has a lot more to do with the rising influence of the Armenian community in the US. That, and the fact that it was in fact genocide...

The point is that the only reason the ‘RATS are bringing it up for a vote at this specific time is to undermine our relationship with Turkey as a vital ally in the WOT.

It’s been amazing to watch how fast folks on this forum bit the democrat’s chum line on this one. Have at it folks, Pelosi, Ried, Murtha, Paul and I might add Osama Bin Laden and company are gonna love ya.

It’s going to make things tougher on our troops in the field of battle, but you moral giants must have your way.

I know, I know, after ninety years, you can’t wait another minute for justice.

Now, tell me what a Ilamic loving patsey I am. I’m ready.

99% of people can’t find Armenia (or Turkey for that matter) on a map. Let’s poll them to see what they think.

I am a quarter Armenian, my great grandmother had to leave to come to the USA to escape while pregnant with my grandfather, and...whether genocide or not, I definitely agree this is rats at work.

I think we have MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES than THIS right now, beginning with NOT making northern Iraq more DANGEROUS for OUR MEN!

And that is EXACTLY what this might do. Sure, it is something that can be discussed, but the situation is fragile.

So you think that getting the Senate to vote that Germany (not Hitler, not the Nazis, but Germany) committed genocide 65 years ago would be a good idea?

The Turkey today and the Turkey 90 years ago are two totally different countries.

Your comments are no different from anti-semitism, and no different from holocaust deniers. What a shame! This is not a Democrat vs Republican issue, and there were Republicans who vote for it. If this was a resolution to recognize the holocaust of the Jews are you going to say the same, claiming an effort to isolate US from Arabic countries?

"I question the timing of the resolution."

Since it happened almost 100 years ago, and the RATS haven't been able to convince the American people that we should cut and run and lose the war, thy've decided to try and get our allies to run away from helping us.

There is NOTHING more despicable than a 'RAT. Stand up for our side and don't help the RATS succeed, damn it!!!

Poll isn’t doing so hot for the “nays.” This is a “sounds good” move from the Dems, with no consideration for the outcome OR for EVERY consideration of the outcome and they don’t give a rats pa-tooty what happens in the Middle East.

Did I say how much I loathe the traitors?

“Now, tell me what a Ilamic loving patsey I am. I’m ready.”

If you insist but I don’t see how it would be deserved.

I know I was probably confusing in our earlier talkings on this. I do believe and side with you against the motivations of our Hatriots (forgot who coined that but it was someone on this forum, iirc) in the federal legislature.

My problem, and it is my problem, is that I just hold a grudge against the Turk for their backstab play over the 4th ID and other games played since.

If the Turk is getting all pissy and bentover on this meaningless bit of twaddle, then they’re just looking for a reason to get pissy and bentover... that’s my take on that part of this.

Saying that, I still feel like I need to scrub down with Ajax and a wire brush. The nasty den of betrayers in our federal legislation are pure scum of the earth.

I hate it that they managed to put together a bit of traitor play that gets me seeming to defend them.

I think it was a conspiracy.

This is a stupid poll. We all believe it happened. Whether it was genocide or not doesn’t matter. Put it in the history books and forget about a vote. That is the reason the questions on the poll are stupid. If I agree that there was genocide I would have to vote yes to have Congress vote on it. This is what I hate about polls. The ones putting out the poll form their questions in order to push their agenda.

I’m in the same boat. I want to condemn genocide no matter where and when, but at the same time the Dem’s have brought it up now for the purpose of weakening Turkey’s support during the War on Terror.

It’s awful hard for Rush to make that claim when there are a number of Republican co-sponsors among the 226 for that particular resolution, including Duncan Hunter, of all people.
