WMD Secreted in Syria, General Sada Says
The New York Sun ^ | January 26, 2006 | Ira Stoll

Posted on 03/24/2007 4:48:21 AM PDT by Fennie

General Georges Sada told The New York Sun that the pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004. I know them very well. They are very good friends of mine. The pilots told Mr. Sada that two Iraqi Airways Boeings were converted to cargo planes by removing the seats. Then Special Republican Guard brigades loaded materials onto the planes, including yellow barrels with skull and crossbones on each barrel. The flights 56 in total attracted little notice because they were thought to be civilian flights providing relief from Iraq to Syria, which had suffered a flood after a dam collapse in June of 2002...

He said he had not shared his story until now with any American officials.

The Dems and the MSM are doing what I expect them to do. And NO, I have not read the full Sun story cuz like the rest of the country I am sick and tired and disgusted with this whole mess.

Did our intelligence at least try to talk to this guy? He's been on talk shows since the fall of Saddam and he was the NUMBER TWO guy in the Iraqi Air Force?

Maybe they did or maybe he's just trying to sell his book, then again maybe Tenet and his frigging CIA were busy getting a Medal of Freedom from W that day.

My point is: if Bush is satisfied there were WMD's, many heads should have rolled, starting with Tenet. And if Bush is not, then why has he rolled over before his opponents?

If that were true, then Bush is more than the wimp he is...he'd be an idiot too. You're saying that Bush would purposely take a course of action that has literally destroyed his presidency, made our troops more vulnerable, destroyed our national image abroad and caused the loss of Republican power in Washington...among many other things. And he did this why? It must be one helluva reason.

Going back to the time just prior to our entry in to Iraq, the Israeli intelligence was reporting that Saddam was moving what was most likely WMD into Syria.

Why was that discounted and ignored?

Maybe Bush is silent on the issue because he would have to prove it. Probably hard to do, unless we went into Syria.

This is silly.

Everyone knows Bush lied about WMDs as an excuse to get us into a war in Iraq for oil. Haven't you heard the old, sage truth, "Nobody died when Bill Clinton lied!"? /s/

I said that before we bombed Baghdad. Those convoys suddenly driving 24/7 into Syria were moving weapons and chemicals, period.

Syria is a co=player with Saddam to the hilt.

One day we are all going to realize this.

No he wouldn't - then he might fall victim to a Clinton-like Arkanicide...

Why not - you are talking about the same traitor who has absolutely refused to shut down our Southern border and to do something about the millions of illegal invaders that have come in via that border - and wants to grant blanket amnesty to the lawbreakers already here (including the drug-runners like the one who was the root cause of the two border agents going to prison).

If the terrorists hate America that much, they are patiently waiting till 2009.

If a Democrat is elected President, the WMD will be given to terrorists and used against us. At that point the Democrat President will decry that it happened because the failed policies of the Bush administration caused the WMD to be secreted out of Iraq wunder our noses. Of course this will be said because we didn't have enough boots on the ground to adequately monitor and if the UN was there they would have caught this.

The Bush administration will be condemned, the UN and the RAT congress will create more laws against civilians while giving the terrorists more rights.

And the media will call the new President courageous and all the Bush Lied about WMD will be placed into the revision basket at the NY Times. They will regurgitate all the Democrat "We have to rid Saddam of his WMD's" and "See, we told you Iraq moved their WMD to Syria" talking points and the left will gobble it up.

Meanwhile we on the right will shake our heads and say, "gee, we never saw this coming." /sarcasm

This man spoke at our church. His life was spared because SH knew that as a Christian, he would not lie to him. SH would only have Christians working in his palaces, because they would not try to kill him.

Sada finally wrote this book because of the terror plot that was broken up in Jordan. They had planned to release several tons of sarin gas, and Sada realized that they had found some of SH's WMD.

The CIA's Iraq Survey Group acknowledged in its September 30, 2004, "Comprehensive Report," "we cannot express a firm view on the possibility that WMD elements were relocated out of Iraq prior to the war. Reports of such actions exist, but we have not yet been able to investigate this possibility thoroughly."

Thanks for the ping, Jet. What does the CIA mean it hasn't been able to investigate this? Did someone stop them?

And why aren't Republicans shouting this from the roof tops. I remember last year when his book came out and wondered at the silence on our side of the aisle.

This what I sent to the NY Sun. There moderator will review before deciding to post:

Saddam Hussein had plenty of time to prepare to move WMDs out of the country. We certainly did enough saber rattling that he knew our intentions. Our saber rattling included two Joint (House and Senate) Congressional resolutions: A) AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE AGAINST IRAQ RESOLUTION OF
2002, B) IRAQ LIBERATION ACT OF 1998. If memory serves, Saddam Hussein sent his Air Force to Iran for safe keeping during the first Iraq war. Working with a fellow Arab state against the United States was part of Saddam's MO. Arabs have a well ordered hierarchy of conflict. They war, yet join ranks against a more foreign enemy. General Saeda is not the only General to say that that Hussein moved WMDs to Syria. Our own Marine General Mike DeLong has stated this on many occasions. He saw truck conveys leaving Iraq and going to Syria the last day or two prior to the US invasion. Additional leads and conclusions can be found at:

We are still waiting for this to be validated. Nothing has come of this. What will happen, is when Achmurderingjad calls the Jihad to arms, the cloud of death will descend on the Green Zone and Israel. Then Pelosi, Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy, Hinchey and the rest of the Ostrich-minded Demoncrats will have the blood of the world on their hands.

The allegation was denied by the Syrian government at the time as "completely untrue," and it attracted scant American press attention, coming as it did on the eve of the Christmas holiday.

It did receive scant attention, but Christmas wasn't the reason.

It means that US intelligence was right about WMD being in Iraq there fore Bush's move on Iraq was justified. Now that Syria has these WMDs what will they do with them.....

When the WMD is eventually found (or used), the libs will deny it ever had anything to do with Iraq or Saddam, so there is no use trying to educate them.
