This is a witch hunt. Cheney is the "witch". I'm saddened by the decline of this country.
What were the 5 counts itemized? I never saw an actual list of the 5 charges.
BTW...Bush should pardon him. TODAY. NOT on January 19, 2009, but today.

Heck, I question that. When you are arguing that your guy was too busy to remember stuff, you better have him say that. They essentially agreed he had not been truthful, but didn't do it on purpose -- and then presented no evidence showing he didn't do it on purpose.
You might remember that some of the jurors felt she was "arrogant", which is not a crime.
I was on a jury last week. It was just a traffic situation, but we ended with a 4-2 hung jury, so the guy was found not guilty. The two holdouts were total maroons. They've watched too many crime shows and too much Court TV and too much Greta. They kept saying crap like "the proscutor could have done a better job explaining this or that". I tried to make it clear that if the prosecutor was up for salary review, that those remarks would have some weight, but that our job as jurors was to determine the dude's guilt or innocence based on the facts that were presented.
I'd hate to have my life depend on a jury of "my peers".

UNBELIEVABLE. Even before we hear of appeals or sentencing here comes Reid asking the President to PROMISE not to pardon him.
Wells made the calculation that there was no way he would win with this jury and made all of his maneuvers with the express purpose of setting up an appeal.
Time to trot out ALL the issues of Corruption against the Dims, lets start with Tuna gate.

Bush should say - he's pardoned now and if you go after anyone else on this disgusting political witchhunt they will be pardoned as well. And Mr. Reid, you are now under investigation for your shady dealings.
