Breaking on MSNBC
This country and judicial system is becoming more and more of a joke every day.
What a travesty. Think of all the scum bags who are let go.
Rush is bringing up Martha Stewart, says the jurors convicted her of something other than what she was charged with and waged class envy.
Rush has always had a way different opinion than me for the Martha Stewart trial. Personally I think she got what she deserved.
Note to self, stay the HELL out of Washington DC...!
FR is freezing up on me...
LOL!!!
For God's sake.
Between this and all the silly histrionics over Ann Coulter, I'm going to have to turn off the TV for a while.
"Bullsh*t! He was railroaded!"
The necessary appeal will be in the hands of a judge by the end of day, methinks.
Personally, I'm not surprised, but it still saddens me immensely. Convicted of doing something the prosecution has already said somebody else did, just shameful.
Hope your reputation was worth it, Fitzgerald.
CNN
---
media is hammering the seriousness of the verdict, less likely to be successful in appeals due to 4 of 5 charges verdict.. appeals court would likely pass on reversing based on that.
woof
This is an absolute travesty of justice...........
I will now hold the OJ jury in higher regard than those fools in D.C.
A kangaroo verdict from a kangaroo kourt.
Oue side never fights back they way they should...this is what we get.
What a shame...and a sham.
Me too, big time.
Obstruction of justice alone equals 10 years of hard time. Each additional count = five years. Pundits questioning if Wells made a mistake not putting Libby on the stand, especially since the Judge questionned his decision. Victoria Toesing up next on foxnews.
i've come to the realization with all libs, that the ends justifies the means, the leaks don't matter when it's a lib doing it, their end is "noble" and "right"
doesn't matter if their leaks harm the military and their safety, a supposed outing of a "non-covert" whom all her neighbors and friends knew was an analyst at the CIA is more important
Libby has been FITZFONGed with the aid of a dim-witted judge and a biased DC jury. I don't want to hear the usual crap about how "the system worked" -- this is the type of case that makes one despair over our legal system.
If you do, you'll be able to FEEL your IQ go up. :)
Anyone know the jury makeup? I believe MSNBC said the foreperson was juror 12.
Krapp!
Bush needs to pardon Libby now! What a disgrace this is.
Has the jury even read the verdict yet? The wire services are giving different results. Did the jury leak the verdict on what has been billed as a case about leaking?
FR is at a crawl.
Prayers lifted for Scooter and his family. While some here are laughing or find this amusing, I'm absolutely sickened.
Over 14,000 page views....we are getting hammered.
He can fold the tents for this circus now and become a MSM legal pundit until a 'rat President annoits him to a high Dept. of Justice position.
Libby now knows the rewards of a career in public service.
Dunno.
The reason for the Not Guilty on the Matt Cooper charge is because that's the one that is DIRECTLY connected to Hillary. Cooper's wife is Mandy Grunwald, Hillary's best friend, her media manager and Bubba's former campaign manager. Mandy's father was the first NEWS EDITOR to say that Nixon should resign.
Can't wait to see the mouth-breathers on THIS jury. Idiots.
If you think it's bad now, if the libs take the White >House in 2008, there's will be an orgy of these "show trials"!
Anyone of us could also be railroaded by someone looking to score political points.
Nobody should feel safe with the current justice system that is in place.
You know it.
I hope all the "real, true" conservatives who punished the GOP last November rot in hell.
Oh, the jury is DRESSED for their statements!
FNC banner: Not guilty on lying to the FBI.
Yeah...don't forget the civil lawsuit the Wilsons have brought to Libby, Rove, Cheney!!!
I bet their lawyer is dancing in the streets!!!
BTW...FR is TOO slow today.
Have a nice trip, Timmy.
Prayers for this country, and for Scooter Libby.
We need serious help....
Justice in America is dead. The liberal courts killed it a long, long time ago.
What a sad, sad day.
Not sure on jury make-up, it's ain't Pro Cheney, I bet ;-)
We'll have to see if they let the jurors talk.
A dark day for justice.
Justice in America is dead. The liberal courts killed it a long, long time ago.
What a sad, sad day.
Ha! I don't that watch too much, anyway. Mostly Fox News and C-SPAN. :)
I've predicted that Libby won't spend a day in jail. The only question is whether he has to get a presidential pardon, or if his conviction will be overturned on appeal (which became more likely by the day and probably became a near-certainty after Fitzgerald's closing arguments).
"Guilty of obstructing justice when there was NO crime."
Martha Stewart was found guilty of obstructing justice when there was no crime, also.
So many people in DC knew that Plame was an "analyst" that she might as well have had her own web site proclaiming it.
I wonder how long it will be before she poses in Playboy or Penthouse?
You said it; but some Freepers are prepared to hand the White House to them.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Wager? On the appeals court overturning?
The next two years will begin the persecution of Conservatives and the focus on the vast "Right Wing" corruption, by the Media.
This is setting up the Democrat plan to take the White House. WE are in BIG trouble!
I hope the jury cites Fitz's closing arguments about the "outing" of the agent as being the basis for the seriousness of the crimes; that would be good news from an appeal point of view. It could show the jury was prejudiced by disallowed testimony.
I heard Anna Nicole Smith is just going to pieces over the news. :)
Joseph and Valerie Wilson I hope you can sleep tonight!!!!
Excellent choice - she (and her husband) know all the legal goings on in DC.
You are so right, my friend.
