Sickening is the right word for this. In my opinion, no matter what the political fall out may be the President has to pardon Libby. I fear though that Libby may be left to twist in the wind for awhile while the appeal takes its long slow course.

The verdict is not surprising at all.
There is ALWAYS a double standard for Conservatives as compared to Liberals. Actually, in order for there to be a "double standard," there must be some kind of standard for both parties. Liberals have NO standard.
Cases in point -- Bill Clinton, Sandy Berger....
Another excellent example of the utter corruption of the "judicial system," and of Government as a whole in the US.
Bush should pardon Libby immediately -- and while he's at it, he should issue a blanket pardon of the persecuted border agents who were railroaded as well!

If Powell or Armitage had any sense of decency they would have stepped up and said there is nothing to ask Mr.Libby or Rove or Cheney because Armitage admitted he inadvertently admitted to a journalist he said Plame was Wilsons wife. This sits squarely on the head of Powell and Armitage. I hope the bastards sleep well tonight. Think of Libbys' teenage children and his wife. What a crying shame and a dark day for America.
